3. Marketing:
- Marketers did not expect the outcome that they received from a study from
advertising. Marketing is an extremely important aspect of Social Media because
marketing helps in the selling and promotions function.
-Marketers use advertising on Social Media platforms because it generally less
expensive than commercial advertising, and seen much more online than on television.
-Many people who browsed through their social media was not too thrilled that
every time advertisements would arise.
-Communicating helps the value of your product/service and is an important key
factor of marketing.
4. Advertising:
-There are many types of advertising and our textbook expands on the following:
online advertising, paid search advertising, display advertising classified advertising, rich
media, referrals of sales lead, sponsor and media.
-Advertising is trying to show/prove facts that are known, as well as being able to
make a product stand out amongst all of the other products out there.
-I agree with our textbook that advertisements should be on televisions not online
because they would be more effective. On the television, people are most of the time
forced to watch the commercials. Online, we sometimes have the opportunity to skip or
exit out of them. Also, sometimes when we click on advertisements when we are online,
they can give our computers viruses and stop the person from what they are actually
trying to search for.
5. Word of Mouth:
-spreading word through a group of followers or fans, a form of free advertising to
spark popularity with authentic reviews and comparisons to competitors.
-Also an effective method of spreading trending content, news, or updates from
multiple forms of media
