2. Robustness Program 2013 - 6Theta™
Purpose
The overall aim of the Robustness Program is to build competencies within the company being able to develop and
deliver high quality products, speed and predictability
This will be developed and consolidated based on the Methods and Tools used within the mechanical product
development today, aiming at:
Use of a common language among developers and management
The specified robustness of the products is obtained with a more predictable resource utilisation and within agreed
time frame
The product specifications transferred from R&D to Production specify less tolerance requirements and production
process requirements
Decisions can be based on quantitative data rather than gut feelings

Overall, this effort contributes to a faster and more predictable time-to-market process for the product portfolio and
the company as such.
