1. HONESTY
Honesty is being truthful to yourself and to others. Being honest can make people
feel better because they know that it is the right thing to do. If you don’t tell the truth, you
will have no friends because people will not trust you. Dishonesty gets you in trouble. So,
if people know that you tell lies, you can be mistrusted by everyone.
When I was on Grade 2, I understood what honesty really was. I lost my pencil
case and felt sad. So, I wrote on my table. The next day, my teacher said, “Your
classmates saw you write on the table.” Instead of lying, I told the truth. I admitted my
mistake because I knew it was the right thing to do. So, when I got sanctioned, I felt okay
because I knew I deserved it, and my thoughts were clean because I knew it was the right
thing to do.
I can live this virtue by always telling the truth and never lying. I will encourage
my classmates and friends to always do the same. And of the teacher asks, “Who did
this” and it was me, I will admit it. If I forget to do my homework, I will tell the teacher,
so that I will always feel good because it is always the right thing to do.
MOTTO: Honesty is the strongest form of bravery.
