Walking Through Daniel 1, 2 http://radio7.interamerica.org8 The king answered and said, I know ofcertainty that ye would gain the time, becauseye see the thing is gone from me.9 But if ye will not make known unto me thedream, there is but one decree for you: for yehave prepared lying and corrupt words tospeak before me, till the time be changed:therefore tell me the dream, and I shall knowthat ye can shew me the interpretationthereof.10 The Chaldeans answered before the king,and said, There is not a man upon the earththat can shew the kings matter: thereforethere is no king, lord, nor ruler, that askedsuch things at any magician, or astrologer, orChaldean.11 And it is a rare thing that the king requireth,and there is none other that can shew it beforethe king, except the gods, whose dwelling isnot with flesh.12 For this cause the king was angry and veryfurious, and commanded to destroy all thewise men of Babylon.13 And the decree went forth that the wise menshould be slain; and they sought Daniel andhis fellows to be slain.14 Then Daniel answered with counsel and 2:13-19 God chose Daniel, a man of uprightwisdom to Arioch the captain of the kings character, to be His representative to the court ofguard, which was gone forth to slay the wise the most powerful empire in the world. Thy dream, and the visions of thy headupon thy bed, are these;29 As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came intothy mind upon thy bed, what should come topass hereafter: and he that revealeth secretsmaketh known to thee what shall come topass.30 But as for me, this secret is not revealed tome for any wisdom that I have more than anyliving, but for their sakes that shall makeknown the interpretation to the king, and thatthou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a greatimage.
