3. The Aim
Through Highlighter I hope to inspire and promote smaller,
new and upcoming artists, as well as informing people on new
songs from already popular artists. I also hope to inform
people on and promote North London venues.
4. The Name - Highlighter
I have chosen to call the magazine Highlighter because i
want my magazine to highlight artists and venues in North
London.
5. Content
Highlighter will include:
● Feature articles about new and upcoming artists and
already known artists who perform and are going to
perform in North London.
● Interviews with the Artists.
● Event dates.
● An overview of the best places to go.
6. Genre
Within Highlighter I am going to present a range of artists
who are of different genres all popular within North London
as well as venues that host to many genres. This way there
will be lots of content for the magazine resulting in less
repetitiveness and a larger target audience.
7. Target Audience
Primary:
● Young adults ages 16-25.
● NRS social grades of C2-E.
● Any gender, race or ethnicity.
Secondary:
● Anyone 25+ living in or visiting North London.
8. Form
● Online and print-based.
● Front cover will have a large photo of the headlining
artist.
● Colour scheme : pale grey backgrounds, black text and a
different pop of highlighter/neon colour each month for
text boxes and titles.
9. The Price
£3.90 for each monthly issue (online and printed), however, an annual subscription will be
available for £35 a year which is a 26% discount. If it is being bought in stores for £3.90 my
hope is that the 10p change will be donated to charity pots at the tills.

13. Unique Selling Point and Competition
Through research I have found that no other music review
based magazines exist in North London. Due to this, the
competition for our paper magazine is very low and we have a
higher chance of being successful. The way we surpass them
is by having North London specific reviews in one place.
