while in power.

had to solve the acute problems of the nations –
poverty, development, education etc.
 Rashid al Ghanooshi – he had predicted the
changes and done the homework
 His policies helped the Islamists in Tunisia to
adapt themselves to the changing scenario
 Policy of coalition
 Islamists realized that they alone cannot handle
the situations and issues of the nation
 Islamic movements have been able to go beyond
their mentor’s and founder’s words and ideas
 Situations also compel them to alter their former
policies
 They have realized that they cannot ignore the
developments and factors of globalization taking
place around the globe,
