Due to a persistent engine
hesitation and a warning light,
we rerouted our trip to the
closest Diesel Mechanic which
was in Bangor Maine
Highway
to the sky!
3. Trouble with the Fuel Pump.
On Wednesday October 24 we limped into BIKIN G I N
Bangor Maine with the engine
hesitating...especially when going up hills. As it B ANGOR
turned out the fuel pump needed to be
replaced. Bangor was not in the plans but was
the closest city that had diesel mechanics. From
10:00 am on the 26th until 10:00 am on Tuesday
the 30th we were hunkered down in Bangor’s
Freight Liner Diesel Repairs.

T H E S TO R M
ON MONDAY OCTOBER 29, BEFORE
THE BIG STORM HIT, WE WENT
FOR A BIKE RIDE AND HIKE IN
CAMDEN HILLS STATE PARK IN
MAINE.
Before the storm really hit we did a bike ride/ hike. We got back to the Repair shop
and the RV a few hours before the wind and rain hit. Lucky for us, Bangor was not
heavily affected. We were safe and sound throughout the storm which wasn’t more
than rain and high winds. The only thing that was of consequence is all the leaves are
now off the trees. It has been overcast and rainy which has altered our path a bit.
HIKE TO THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN BEFORE THE STORM
8. WE REACHED THE HIGH POINT AT ABOUT
2PM AND THE WIND WAS JUST STARTING
TO PICK UP. CLOUDS WERE ROLLING IN.
