Technology can be both a boon and a bane. As a boon, technology brings many benefits to education such as improving the teaching and learning process. However, as a bane, technology can also be detrimental if not used properly. Specifically, it can harm education when learners uncritically accept all online information, use the internet primarily for pornography, become passive spectators rather than active participants, or become overly reliant on computers instead of interacting with others. Technology is generally a blessing if used properly, but becomes a detriment to development when overused or abused. The key is that technology should serve human needs, not the other way around.
