2. Drawing pencil is one of the
draftsman’s most important
tools categorized by different
grades of hardness and softness.
The degree of hardness of a
pencil is printed on the pencil.
3. •B stands for "black".
These pencils are
soft.
B pencils are softer and
leave more graphite on
the paper, meaning they
are darker.
4. F pencil has a limited
amount of graphite,
which gives it a lighter
shade and less density
on paper. Being light in
color, they are also
easy to erase.
5. •H stands for "hard".
H pencils are hard
and they leave less
graphite on the paper.
This means that they
are lighter.
6. •T-Square – it is used
for drawing horizontal
lines and serves as a
guide for triangles
when drawing other
kinds of lines.
7. Triangles – these are
used for drawing
vertical and oblique
lines. Usually comes
in 45° and the 30°
x 60°.

10. Protractor – a semi circular scale
divided into 180 equal parts each
of which is called a degree, (°),
and is used for measuring and
laying out arcs of circles as well
as angles that cannot be measured
with the 45° or the 30° x 60°
triangles.

12. Masking Tape
This is used for fastening
the drawing paper on the
drawing table or drawing
board because it does not
damage the board and it
will not damage the paper
if it is removed by pulling
it off.
