Ellie Stevens, Tarleton State University, SO, Bury St. Edmunds, England, Culford School
Stevens went 5-1 this past Sunday and Monday helping her team secure wins over East Texas Baptist and
Univ. of the Southwest in a makeup series in Midland. The sophomore from Bury St. Edmunds, England won
her doubles match against Western New Mexico (8-5) but fell in singles play (6-1, 6-3) – her only loss of the
weekend. During the final two matches of the series, Stevens was a near perfect 24-1 during singles play and
had a combined score of 16-6 in doubles play against East Texas Baptist and Southwest.

Mariaxi Herrera, Texas A&M University - Kingsville, went 2-1 in three matches this week in singles No. 1 and
2-1 in doubles No. 1... the junior nearly upset No. 35 Natalie Gennissen in line 1 when the Hogs faced No. 41
Dallas Baptist... on the season, Herrera is 6-3 in singles No. 1 and 2-2 versus regionally-ranked opponents and
6-3 in doubles No. 1.
