2. About Spikey He was born October 22nd 1969 in Rockville, Maryland and is an American director. Spike co-created Jackass, but is know for directing music videos and specializes in skateboard videos and owns a skateboard company girl skateboards.

3. Visual Signatures He uses fire a lot in his videos, probably his most famous video was the shot of the man running in slow motion on fire. He films a lot of his artists walking (panning and tracking). Narrative is normally used, and dialogue is used at the beginning setting the video. He uses slow motion a lot as an effect. This makes him an auteur as he is known for these reasons to the audience.

5. Commercials Apart from doing music videos he also made some commercials and advertisements, including the adidas advert. This still related to his style, as it was quite strange and unusual.

6. He also produced a levi fly jeans commercial in which he used fire again and the guy looks weird as his legs are dancing as he walks. He is showing the jeans are ‘fly’. He did an advert for Ikea showing a lamp left alone as the women has a new one obviously from Ikea, again he is showing a story as though the lamp is human.
