From creating this magazine, I learned how to operate high tech camera
and studio equipment, a dslr being the camera used for all photography,
and i also learned how to set up backdrops as I insisted on putting it up with
help myself.
Soft boxes in a photo shoot are almost gridded boxes work as a flashlight
when taking pictures. These were used throughout all photography, at
different settings, and once settings are changed the flash was dumped as
a resetting action. The photo shoot taught me the importance of a double
sided reflector as it has a strong affect on the outcome of photography
specifically on faces, as they can give a bronzed or silver affect which
shows p more on skin. Photoshop is one form of technology that I am
becoming used to, and this task only bought me closer to being used to it,
as I was using it for different things to what I once did and that allowed me
to form a deeper understanding of tools such as the magic eraser which
was used on my front cover.
InDesign is a programme i would say I’m more used to than Photoshop as I
understand how more things work and what to do when I need something
still slightly more than on Photoshop. This is because of previous tasks as
both programmes are user friendly but i have more experience with in
design.
