what did you do? Why?
P2: description of the methods used
P3: summary of the results
P4: statement of the main conclusion // identify one
significant effect of your work.
Note: this is lastly done thus, it takes the past tense form
of the verb
Research Description / Introduction
• Include a hook at the beginning
• Indicate the area & the topic of your study
• State why the study is interesting, problematic and
relevant to you.
• State the bounds of your study.
• Explain why your work is necessary.
• Give a verbal road map or verbal contents to guide
readers what lies ahead.
Note: do not repeat statements in other areas of the book.

• The nature of the business / operation

• Are there branches? How many?
• Where this study took place? Location / Area.

P2: state the present LOCAL state of tech. relative to your

Scope and Limitation of the Study - For whom
- What is the target of the study?
- Specify the area / range of the study o What
does it include in the study
o What does it exclude in the study
Significance of the Study
- State why the study is conducted
- Why it is important to
• Your client (internal entities)
• Their client (external entities) You (the researchers)
• Others (developers, students, researchers)
Related Literature Review
• Cite previous research area relative to your study
• Give a comparison of your work with closely related
efforts.
• Demonstrate the principal differences and similarities
with respect to:

- Approach
- Results
- Tools, methodology used
Note: as you compare with those of others objectively
weigh the advantages and disadvantages.

Conclusion
• Should at least contain a brief overview of the
purpose of the work and the problem studied.
• A summary emphasizing the main contributions and
results
• Present a final statement of conclusion and
interpretation of the result of your proposed system.

• Discuss what remains to be done
