3. If nobody “Likes” your updates, (or comments), nobody will even see your updates in their News Feeds Three points to consider: -How long ago was it posted? -Does this user interact with you often? -How interactive are the engagements with the post? 3 6/14/2011 Be Likeable! Rise to the top of the News Feed by literally being likeable!
5. Find Your Voice! Who do you want your brand to be? Funny? Enthusiastic? Friendly? Serious? Young?
6. If you build it, will they come? Facebook = opportunity to be where the people are BUT… • How will you engage without being annoying? • How will you provide value? • How will you see a return?

Editor's Notes
Discuss algorithm and discuss how new products are weighted differently (i.efb place/questions tool/anything else they come up with)
MORE DETAIL ABOUT ALGORITHM
DISCUSS HAVING A PRETTY PAGE IS GREAT AND ALL BUT IT TAKES MORE THAN FUN APPS AND PRETTY WELCOMES
Explain that “like” button is an easy action
Discuss post regular updates with a q and then using q tool (Why the questions tool works- same concept as telling people to “like” your post
Talk about marketing post bt making sure to make them fun, relevant, with an easy call to action
Obviously these things stand out- I want to show livestream- although it doesn’t affect the newsfeed immediately it give fans reasons to share your page!
Contests increase interaction because people want to talk about it especially if they’re trying to get friends to vote for them
-Explain that 11est/12est is lunch for nyc and morning for west coast- people check fb in the morning and during lunch…3:00 is lunch for west coast and a time when nyers get restless at work…-If they’ve been listening at all though, they’ll know that this isn’t relevant to everyone. Who is their audience?! Teachers? Then these times probably won’t work, moms (these times probably work), etc.
THIS LAST SLIDE WILL BE A RECAP SLIDE- THIS IS NOT DONE
