4. Introduction to the Site
Janda Baik
Located in Bentong of Pahang Darul Makmur, Janda Baik is a Malay-reserved
village with a tropical climate of 22 °C (night) to 28 °C (day) which is much cooler
than that of Kuala Lumpur.
Since this beautiful village is surrounded by thick tropical rainforest, it lets
visitors from different places to have a taste of nature while enjoying nice, cool
breeze. This nature-surrounded village is a famous tourists’ destination thanks to its
beautiful sceneries. About an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, Janda Baik serves as a
good place to take a break from the hectic life of the city.
Development Site
This site (coordinate: 3°19’51.20”, 101°51’29.20”) is suitable for the development of
an education centre as it is a centralized area in Janda Baik and it is easily
accessible by road from all parts of the village. Not to mention that this area is close
to one of the densest residential areas in the village, with around 15 houses, a
library, a primary school, and a mosque near this site. Since this site has already
5. been cleared, it also reduces the need for heavy machinery to clean out the trees
and local vegetation. It is approximately 500,000 m² in area, providing enough space
for a suitable establishment to be placed.
6. Development Details
Introduction to the Development
This development aims to provide a service to the children of Janda Baik, which lack
a proper higher education centre, and to offer them a taste of what lies for them
outside in the world in terms of general knowledge and to provide tuition-like service
to them. The centre should incorporate a few small classrooms and a few IT centres
to encourage learning through the use of current technology. Since this project is to
be run by Taylor’s Education Group as a famous education centre, it is in their own
interests to further their reach for potential candidates to show themselves in their
academic achievements.
