2. Developing a social media strategy for your project
Mission: think broadly
What's your mission need or goal?
Who's your target audience?
What are their top tasks online, and how does your mission play into those?
Tools: not just one
What tools or channels will help you most directly serve your mission and your audiences' needs?
Metrics: think direct mission plus spreading the word
What defines success qualitatively for this project? (for example: more people know how to protect themselves)
What can you measure that will describe qualitatively how it's going? How often will you measure? (for example: number
of hospital visits, measured monthly or number of retweets of our key messages every week)
Name one or two specific benchmarks that will tell you whether you're succeeding. (for example: hospital visits decrease
5% in the first year or we get 20 retweets/week after six months)
Teach: help others after you
How will you share what you've learned from this project in your own organization?
How will you share what you've learned beyond your organization?
