Personal pronouns
The verb to be
• This is the most important verb in english
and it is frequently used when you are
talking to another person.
• There are five principal uses for this
verb:
Give personal information
I am Sawyer.
I am 36 years old.
I am single.
Talk about permanent states
I am colombian.
I am shy.
I am intelligent.
Talk about feelings
•I am happy.
•I am hungry.
•I am nervous.
•I am tired.
Describe things
•This car is red.
•The food is delicious.
•The tacos are expensive.
•They are tall.
Talk about the location of something or
somebody
•The UNAD is in El Restrepo.
•James Rodríguez is in Spain.
•We are in the classroom.
How to use this verb
• This is the way to use the verb to be:
