The document describes design choices made for a poster promoting Drake's album "Nothing Was The Same." To make the poster look professional and understandable to audiences, the designer chose to use familiar conventions like a large central image showing part of Drake's face, bare minimum text, and bright colors contrasting with a white background. While wanting the poster to be exciting, the designer felt less inclined to challenge typical poster conventions so the end result would be clear and look professional.

4. I felt less inclined to challenge the forms and
conventions of existing posters as I feel that nearly
all of them are made up of very similar
conventions, and challenging them could of lead to
creating a product that a) didn’t look professional,
and b) is difficult for audiences to understand.
However, I have still tried to make a product that is
exciting, through the use of an abstract image of
the star and bright colours contrasting the white
background.
