Created in the 1980s and fired in the Long Kiln, the sculpture depicts
Zhong Kui, a mythical figure in Chinese folklore, with his hands
folded behind his back, holding a folding fan, and walking with a
steady pace. The expression on his face appears to be both
contemplative and attentive, with a burst of inner power despite his
subtle movements. The sculpture fully embodies the artist's style, with
finely detailed facial features, lively expressions, and flowing drapery.
The vibrant and bold pomegranate-red glaze on the sculpture conveys
the character's resolute personality.

Jiangmen "Discovers" Early Works of Liu Zhemian
Recently, it was learned that a collector "discovered" an early
original masterpiece of the master in an antique shop in Jiangmen. "It
was placed in a glass cabinet at that time, and when I saw it at first
glance, I found it very special. At first, I thought it was a work of
Master Liao Hongbiao." After he returned to Foshan, he showed the
work to Master Liu Zhemian and found that the work was indeed the
original work of Liu Zhemian from the 1970s. This news made him
ecstatic, "I bought it for just over 10,000 yuan, but now it is
conservatively estimated to be worth at least tens of thousands of
yuan."
