Hello Elise, I like your writing. I think you said that you are 9 years old and that your mum loves gardening.

Hello Elise, you dad is an electrician, right? My grandpa is an electrician as well. I think I want to be an electrician when I grow up.

Hello Elise. You wrote – hello, my name is Elise. I am 9 years old. There are 4 people in my family. My dad, my mum, my brother. My mum is a
housewife. My dad is a electrician. My brother is 12. my mum likes gardening and my dad likes fishing. My brother likes sleeping. I think you
should write ‘wo jin nian 9 sui le’, you missed ‘le’ at the end of the sentence.

5. Teacher’s reflection: previously I thought Chinese characters
would turn them off, but now I see that there are students who
are keen to learn. I should start to introduce characters now.

Hello Elise, I am glad that you enjoyed our little lunch out today. You did very well. That
Chinese lady did speak very fast. Next time you probably could ask her ‘qing ni shuo man yi
dianer, hao ma?’

We know you speak good Chinese. You do not have to show us that you can. You are so
annoying.
