Picture one: In the picture, I see 4 boys riding bikes. The picture appears to take place during the
time of World War 2. Based on the hand signals the kids are using, I am assuming that either the
kids are from the United States and are joking around like kids do, or the kids live in Germany
under the dictatorship of Hitler. When looking at their dress, I lean more towards the picture
taking place in Germany. Are these kids willingly saying “Ich Liebe Hitler” from their hand
movements, or are they being forced to praise him?
Picture 2: The first thing that comes to mind when I see this picture is the TV show MASH.
More so assuming that this picture is not made up by Hollywood, the picture appears to be taken
during the Vietnam War. I assume this because the picture is in color, and by the uniforms the
people are wearing. It looks like that the people in the picture are overseas fighting the war,
instead of home on American soil. That is based on how their equipment is set up.
Picture 3: This picture to me is showing the wealthy wasting resources in front of the poor.
Based on the color of the photo, and how it looks as if the rich are trying to rub their wealth in
the faces of the poor, I am assuming the picture takes places in the 1930’s. I jump to this
assumption because that was the era of our great depression. I do not feel the picture would be in
the 20’s because then, most families seemed to be well off with the boom occurring in the
economy. This picture to me symbolizes the greed that fills the heart of some wealthy people.
This is done by the wealthy rubbing it in the poor’s face that they can afford to be wasteful.
