- 4. Remembering names---Critically important— How would you feel if someone forgot your name? Once you are introduced to someone, and while engaging in conversation, (keep repeating their name; we all love to hear our name and it will make you remember them! (The golden number is 7) The most awkward thing is forgetting someone’s name after you just met them—then you are unable to introduce them and leaves a bad impression and YOUR first impression truly matters!

Understanding the “Interpersonal” Dynamic of networking When networking it’s always about “building” and “nurturing” the relationship with every contact, connection and personal and business relationship you have and Giving Back. So what does that mean and how do I build my network? Social Media--Share your opinion Don’t Be Afraid To Ask for Help Do Your Homework Building a network takes TIME! Timing is Everything!!!!

Make Networking part of your Daily Routine • Networking is a mindset, it is a strategy for life, it is really 24/7; it doesn’t end when you find that “perfect job.” • Be of the Giving mindset: • Who can I tweet about that can help me? (giving first) • Who can I share an article with that can help others? • How can I follow up with someone I just met at a networking event by sharing something with them that they mentioned • Demonstrate you listened to what they said, it’s not about you it’s about something you can share to help them! • How can I help someone else network? • Networking can become part of your DNA: Deliberate and Authentic Networking Always
