Peer and Self Evaluation: Final Rehearsal before Mock Trial
Try to write notes in complete sentences. Use proper grammar and spelling. You will
use this to focus your listening during our final rehearsal. You will hand this in on the
day of the Mock Trial with your Trial Notes for a grade. Please make an effort to
reflect seriously on this experience.
1. How have we, as a class, set the tone for the trial? Is there anything we
should do on this day before the trial to make sure the trial runs smoothly?

2. What were the high points or important evidence in the Prosecution’s case?
What questions did you think were particularly effective in persuading you
that their case was correct? What could they do to improve their case or
questioning?

3. What were the high points or important evidence in the Defens’s case? What
questions did you think were particularly effective in persuading you that
their case was correct? What could they do to improve their case or
questioning?
4. Which part of this trial and/or your performance do you think needs the
most work? How will you accomplish this goal before the trial?

5. List 5 vocabulary words related to the mock trial that you can now define and
use properly.

6. What part of this project have you most enjoyed?
challenging for you?

What was most

7. What common mistakes or difficulties do you see in your classmates’ oral
responses and speeches? Make some suggestions to help avoid these
problems. You may recognize some of these common mistakes in your own
presentations.
