HRA 4430: Compensation and Benefits
Job Analysis Assignment
Organization: Lockheed Martin
Job: Campus Recruiting Representative
1. The job analysis conducted for the Campus Recruiting Representative (CRR) was done through
interviews directly with those who hold the position and a few who work directly with them
including the Campus Recruiting Manangers. There are currently eight CRRs across the entire
country, and each one is in charge of university recruiting and relations for various schools.
Since the position is a strong independent role with interactions with various levels within and
outside the organization, it was best to talk directly with those in the role and gain their insights
through their experiences and knowledge. Findings are presented below:
CRRs are in charge of campus recruiting events and relations within a certain region
designated by Lockheed Martin’s Annual Corporate School Review.
CRRs are either given Key Schools or Target Schools. Key Schools are those universities
seen as most valuable to driving in entry-level talent into the organization. These
schools have top engineering programs, and their students are highly sought by several
other competitors.
i. CRRs that have Key Schools only have 3 to 4 of them because they must not only
do regular on-campus events like career fairs, information sessions, and
interviews but also networking events with the university and their students.
Target Schools are universities seen with strong engineering programs in a certain
region. They are sought after a specific business unit or more within the organization.
i. CRRs that have Target Schools have 7 to 9 schools in a region they oversee.
Regular on-campus events are set up including career fairs, interviews, and basic
information sessions.
CRRs travel 50 to 60% of the year to the campuses to carry out these events. Very little
time is spent in the office during the school year.
In charge of indentifying high potential candidates, interviewing them, and getting them
in the tracking system ASAP so they can be contacted by specific recruiters.
Position requires being highly organized and independent. Work on your own a lot and
are in charge of coordinating campus events and finding strong candidates for
internships and entry level positions.
Work one on one with University Career Centers and develop those relationships.

Job Evaluation Method:
For the CRR position, I would choose to utilize the point method to evaluate this job. It is able to
offer a balance of internal and market considerations. Also, it utilizes a quantitative approach, which
yields numbers to compare and see the actual worth of each job in relation to one another. The CRR
position is similar to other recruiting positions within Lockheed Martin, so it would be easy to find exact
or very similar compensable factors to assign numerical values to and compare.
