380 members building a community of independent creatives, together
160 studios occupied by diverse artists, educators, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs
12 shops include digital fabrication, hot and cold metal, textiles, woodworking, jewelry
ESTABLISHED TO BRING AUDACIOUS IDEAS TO LIFE
Founded in 2010 by engineering school graduates and artists in collaboration
Incorporated in 2012 to sustain the community and the space as a not-for-profit
$500K budget in 2012, $1.4M organization today with 95 percent earned income

Artisan’s Asylum exists to promote the teaching, practice and culture of making.
OUR MEMBERS INSPIRE AND DELIGHT
International festivals involvement including support to Boston Burning Man crew
Public art installations such as Illuminus, the Greenway and RiverFest
Local events including FluffFest, Somerville Open Streets, and Boston Mini-makerfaire
Special partnerships include Design Week, “Adult Night” at Boston Children’s Museum

6,500 volunteer hours contributed to organization and community benefit each year
