2. John 4:27-30 And at this point His
disciples came, and they marveled that
He talked with a woman; yet no one
said, "What do You seek?" or, "Why
are You talking with her?" (28) The
woman then left her waterpot, went her
way into the city, and said to the men,
(29) "Come, see a Man who told me all
things that I ever did. Could this be the
Christ?" (30) Then they went out of the
city and came to Him.

the Word was with God, and the Word was
God.

dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full
of grace and truth.
3. Philippians 2:5-7 Let this mind be in you
which was also in Christ Jesus, (6) who, being
in the form of God, did not consider it robbery

bondservant, and coming in the likeness of
men.

5. I. A PHYSICAL MAN
A. A HUMBLE MAN
• Philippians 2:8-11 And being found in appearance as
a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to
the point of death, even the death of the cross. (9)
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given
Him the name which is above every name, (10) that at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in
heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the
earth, (11) and that every tongue should confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
• Acts 8:32-33 The place in the Scripture which he read
was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And
as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened
not His mouth. (33) In His humiliation His justice was
taken away, And who will declare His generation? For
His life is taken from the earth."
6. I. A PHYSICAL MAN
B. A POOR MAN
• 2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of
our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was
rich, yet for your sakes He became poor,
that you through His poverty might become
rich.

came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow
You wherever You go." (20) And Jesus said
to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the
air have nests, but the Son of Man has
nowhere to lay His head."
7. I. A PHYSICAL MAN
C. A WEARY MAN - John 4:5-6 So He
came to a city of Samaria which is
called Sychar, near the plot of ground
that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. (6)
Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus
therefore, being wearied from His
journey, sat thus by the well. It was
about the sixth hour.
8. I. A PHYSICAL MAN
D. A LONELY MAN
• John 16:32 Indeed the hour is coming, yes,
has now come, that you will be scattered,
each to his own, and will leave Me alone.
And yet I am not alone, because the Father
is with Me.
• Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour
Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying,
"Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My
God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
9. I. A PHYSICAL MAN
E. A HUNGRY MAN
• Luke 4:1-2 Then Jesus, being filled with the
Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was
led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (2) being
tempted for forty days by the devil. And in
those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when
they had ended, He was hungry.
• Matthew 4:1-2 (1) Then Jesus was led up by the
Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the
devil. (2) And when He had fasted forty days
and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
10. I. A PHYSICAL MAN

you, that My joy may remain in you, and
that your joy may be full.

away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to
pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.

Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ
Jesus, (6) who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be

covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks

as dear children. (2) And walk in love, as Christ
also has loved us and given Himself for us, an
offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-
smelling aroma.

what credit is it if, when you are beaten for
your faults, you take it patiently? But when
