MY EXPERIENCE OF PUBLIC MISSION
It is with a Heart filled with gratitude and infinite recognition that I share my
experience of the public mission, certainly it is impossible to share all that I
experienced during the public mission because this experience will remain engraved
forever in my life.
I give thanks to Heavenly Parent and True Parents especially our True Mother for
giving me this opportunity to take part in public mission.
I thank the Rev. CAMARA who held the position of CHAIRMAN REGIONAL
GROUPE AFRIQUE, initiator of the one-year missionary program for young people
of the 2nd generation and the Rev. KADIMA JEAN PIERRE who at the time held the
position of national legal representative of the DRC for his heart, his support and his
unwavering accompaniment to make this program effective in our nation despite the
countless difficulties.
Admittedly, it is impossible for us to share all our experience of the public mission
through this article, however, we will just share in a general way the progress of our
public mission.
It all started in 2014 when I decided to start building my personal life of faith after
understanding my identity and the value of True Parents. As 2nd Generation we usually
attend special 2nd Generation seminars and sometimes we do not deeply understand
who True Parents are therefore we just rely on the foundation and faith of our
parents while the True Parents said that the 2nd generation must be witnessed and trace
their own path of faith in addition to the foundation already laid by our ancestors
and our parents, it is in this sense that I personally decided to do the various classic
seminars (1 Days, 2 Days and 7 Days) of Divine principle with newly testifying
members.
2. After this seminar while I was still a student, I immersed myself in conditions of
intense devotion to the holy land of MANENGA and one day I decided to climb the
highest mountain in the city of Kinshasa.
This mountain is called MANGENGENGE it is a public place which takes on a
spiritual character and the pastors and the ordinary people generally leave to offer
prayers. I also went there for this purpose so while I was immersed in prayer, I felt
the presence of the spiritual world Abel who was at my side to support me. This
experience strengthened my prayer strength.
In 2016 when I had finished my secondary studies, my father had been sent by the
national leader in the province of central kongo for the mission as the legal
representative of this strategic province of the DR CONGO which means that the
whole family we left Kinshasa for the province of central kongo precisely in Matadi
our place of mission.
A year later as I continued in my devotions, in order to experience the true father by
praying on the mountains once again I went every Saturday to the highest mountain
in the city of Matadi
This mountain is called THE PIC AMBIEN it is a public place which takes on a
spiritual character which makes the pastors and other people generally leave to offer
prayers. One of the Saturday nights in my sleep, I had a dream that I was in an
airport doing the paperwork to travel to Korea. At the end of the process I met my
brothers and sisters who were already studying in Korea they embraced me
welcoming me suddenly I got up from my sleep and I started to pray to better
understand the meaning of this dream. The morning of the next day I reported the
dream to the parents telling them that I had to go to Korea but nothing was clear yet.
Three weeks later the national leader as part of his tour in the province of Kongo
Central came to announce that he is in the selection of young leaders who can go and
take part in the GTGY 2017 seminar. There was a list of pre-selected young people at
the level of the province and the national leader had chosen 7 young people on
behalf of the province and I was among the people chosen by heaven to take part in
this major international seminar.
We took part in this unforgettable seminar of my life thanks to this seminar, I
changed my perspective of my life by deciding to become a leader by offering
everything (my studies, my ambitions, my goals, my whole life) to the service of the
Heavenly Parents and True Parents. Immediately upon my return, I decided to stop
my studies when I had already successfully completed the preparatory year in
engineering and I am preparing to continue and become an engineer. Why this
decision? This is because in my opinion the purpose was not to connect to Heavenly
Parents and True Parents. I first embarked on the public mission through the youth
department (FJPM to YSP) we did testimony, fundraising , conferences on character
education, conferences and seminars on CARP and HARP...
3. In March 2018 during a 7-day seminar for young people in the DRC, the Rev.
Camara Bakary President of the Africa Regional Group initiated the one-year
missionary service for young people so personally I decided to be among the young
missionaries of the first edition.
We started this program with a preparatory course focused on fundraising to raise
funds to support the 43-day training seminar for public mission and the 7-day chain
fast which was a first in my life of faith. After that we began preparing for the
seminar itself to initiate ourselves into public mission and arm ourselves with the
thoughts of True Parents.
The seminar was a great success as we learned a lot of both inner and outer
knowledge in order to respond to True Parents' call through public mission.
Immediately after the seminar, we went to the holy land of MANENGA to draw lots
for our mission and our mission places, for me in particular heaven had directed me
to the pastoral mission in the commune of NGALIEMA so I was the direct assistant
to the pastor of the commune.
During the mission, together with the pastor and the members of the commune, we
organized several activities both internally (oriented towards the Central Blessed
Families) and externally (oriented towards non-members).
We reorganized our internal structure, we reorganized Sunday worship (It was an
opportunity for me to preach during worship, so it was a great experience. Certainly
at first it was difficult but over time we mastered ) we have reorganized the wake-up
worship every Wednesday in the teams but with rotation of the families by
including prayer intentions, we have made tours in the families who had problems
in order to support them spiritually, financially and mentally also and especially
those who were no longer active in order to remotivate them, we initiated prayer
vigils for the Blessed Central families we relaunched the classic testimony through
the teaching of the Divine Principle (it was during this period that I taught as
keynote speaker for the first time the Complete Divine Principle) we have revived
the testimony of the churches already established, we have organized seminars s,
from the blessings of couples, we have organized character education conferences
with youth organizations in churches of which we have held seminars…
At the same time we also served in the youth department precisely in the HARP
AND YSP by teaching character education in schools, the rally of young students,
the mobilization for the rally of hope for a new congo , training seminars for our
young in-house students, youth camps for the holidays, charity and service for peace
activities …
All of these activities were for the purpose of effectively contributing to the
significant advancement of providence as a young missionary. This missionary
experience was not easy because there were many difficulties of financial means,
temptations, persecutions at all levels sometimes there was this desire to give up but
4. our determination was greater and heaven supported us here why despite
everything, we persevered until the end. One thing is true the mission is not easy
because we do not educate a leader in the facility.
We must always remain connected to the heart of Heavenly Parent and True
Parents.
Thanks to the Heavenly Parents and the True Parents, we ended our one-year
mission program with flying colors on September 21, 2019.
This missionary experience allowed us to have a solid foundation for our life in
general and our life of faith in particular as a young leader!
Based on this foundation, wherever we went, we made the effort to be a testimony to
Heavenly Parents and True Parents.
In October 2019, we resumed university studies in Leadership and Governance in
one of the most renowned universities in terms of the quality of training and from
the first to the last year our lowest mention was the Distinction thanks to the
Heavenly Parent and the True Parents, we graduated with the highest honors.
We are very grateful to the sky which supports us and always accompanies us to the
fullest every day on our journey.
