Hello Volunteer,
The Feeding Project is on the lookout for talented volunteers to be a part of our team! We are
searching for dedicated individuals with an eye for detail and a drive to change the world with
some spunk and enthusiasm of course. If you are secretly nodding along then we want YOU!
We are looking to add a temporary Events Manager to our team. The incumbent should have a
heathy sense of adventure, must be able to work in teams as well as independently and must love
people. They should be open minded and committed to making a difference.
This person will report to the Chairperson, Kristen Alexis and will be partnered with our current
Events Manager (currently the awesome Tevin Chee Loy)
The talented team member will have the following responsibilities -
* Manage Social Media Pages
This includes managing the Instagram and Facebook accounts by adding content to the pages
with at least one or two posts on each forum or site per day. This content will include but is not
limited to pictures, articles, interviews etc. about homelessness that are educational or inspiring.
This also includes replying to inbox or direct messages on the pages.
*Create and Manage Event Pages
This includes creating posters, flyers & tickets for events that are upcoming. Creating and man-
aging event pages by posting in event pages at least twice a day. Giving out information to possi-
ble attendees about the event
Promotion - sharing posters on Instagram, Facebook. Encouraging people to buy tickets. Selling
of tickets. Keeping up to date with how many tickets are being sold.
2. *Working with Volunteer Coordinator
The Events Manager will work hand in hand with our Volunteer Coordinator (currently
the lovely Joseanne Wayow) in the planning and execution of community events includ-
ing fundraisers and Feeding Project to promote and communicate volunteer opportunities
that are available at The Kenneth Wong Chong Foundation.
What we would like our candidate to have:
Previous experience in volunteer work
Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel and Publisher
Experience in office/administrative work
What you absolutely need to have:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Flexibility and adaptability to manage a fluid and ambiguous schedule
Confidentiality and Trustworthiness
Decision making and proactive approach to job
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
