“Onboarding”

2. What is Onboarding?
• Our Online Enrolment uses .gov.uk
design principles.
• Offered Online Enrolment for a numbers
of years, student feedback was that
students didn’t like logging into different
links/interfaces for enrolment, induction
and receiving a number of different
emails!
• Asked students to work with us to design
a one stop shop that would prepare them
best we could for starting college –
“Onboarding” was born!

3. How does it work?
• We only offer online enrolment to unconditional offers
that have accepted their place.
• These are pulled from our admissions system and ‘block
enrolled’ onto course level in Unit-E with a “Pre-
Registered” status.
• Automatically given an individual email detailing their
pin & password to access our “Onboarding” and the
advantages of accessing the system.

• This allows us to identify those who have never actually attempted
to login or have a number of failed attempts and target them for
follow-up calls.
• We can also identify where in the system have they reached and
again put resources in to target these to get enrolment completed.

10. Stats for 19/20
• 87% of our students completed online enrolment
prior to starting college.
• 94% of our full-time student cards arrived for
induction.
• 100 more bursary students in the first
scheduled payment run compared to previous
session.
