• Multilateral institution Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced a
USD 100 million funding for the Indian infrastructure sector through the
government-promoted NIIF.

Rakes, First One In Feb ’23
New rakes will improve train’s frequency to 10 minutes from
existing 18 minutes: MMRDA
Monorail, which runs on a 20km stretch between Chembur and
Jacob Circle, will start getting new and ‘more reliable’ rakes
from February onwards, thus helping gradually improve the
frequency from existing 18 minutes to less than 10 minutes.
Monorail, currently, operates with seven rakes, of which two
are kept on standby. Last year, MMRDA had announced that
an Indian firm will supply 10 rakes of four cars each for this
corridor.
