Hello!
Today I will be explaining which
propellant is best suited for my space
mission! We definitely need to keep our
environment safe and not damaged by
the propellants. Therefore, I will
demonstrate which propellant out of the
4 will be the best to keep the
environment happy and healthy.

The propellant that I decided and
agreed on is the Hydrogen and Oxygen
propellant.

The main reason selected the Hydrogen and
Oxygen propellant is because it is extremely
environmental friendly! In no way will it harm the
humans, the animals, and most important our
atmosphere. The other propellants such as
Methylhydrazine, Nitrogen Tetroxide, n- dodecane
and Oxygen and Ethanol and Oxygen can harm
the surrounding and it would cost a lot to clean up
the mess made by the propellants. The Hydrogen
and Oxygen propellant will cost more then the 3
others, but it is well worth it.

Methylhydrazine is a highly corrosive chemical.
Contact with this chemical can irritate and/or burn
your eyes and skin. It also affects you when
breathed in. Breathing it in can cause great
irritation to your lungs, it may cause shortage of
breathe and severe coughing.
If Nitrogen Tetroxide was the released gas from the
propellants, the gas would be spread out into the
air. Then seeping through our crops and we would
be eating this poisonous gas that could cause a
illness. There are no sudden symptoms. It could
make you very sick.

N-Dodecane carries carbon dioxide, which is a
green house gas. As we all know, greenhouse
gases can destroy our ozone and cause a hole in
it.
Ethanol can be great for the planet because it is
non-toxic, water soluble and quickly
biodegradable. But in it’s chemical reaction it
contains Carbon Dioxide. Which is a greenhouse
gas, this gas can destroy our ozone layer and we
are trying to find solutions that will not harm our
planet in any way.

Although the Hydrogen and oxygen
propellant is a little costly, it is
environmentally safe and is a good
choice to use this propellant. It keeps the
animals and the humans safe, no money
will be wasted on trying to clean up or fix
the mess, it will not put any toxics in the
air or destroy our ozone layer. It’s
definitely a smart choice if we would like
to keep our planet clean and safe.
