Sixth stage of filming:
ON THIS DAY MYSELF, NANA, JACK AND BEN MET UP AT THE
HOUSE OF ONE OF OUR FRIENDS. WE MADE SURE IN
ADVANCE THAT ALL OF OUR ACTORS WOULD BE FREE
HOWEVER WHEN IT CAME TO THE DAY OF FILMING THERE
WAS AN UNEXPECTED CIRCUMSTANCE WHICH AROSE
MEANING WE WOULD HAVE TO CONTINUE ON WITHOUT
ONE OF OUR KEY CHARACTERS. WE DIDN’T LET THIS ALTER
OUR ATTEMPTS IN ANY WAY, AND FILMED AS MUCH AS WE
COULD DESPIRE OUR MISSING ACTOR. WE WERE
INCREDIBLY LUCKY AS IN THE END IT WAS NOT EVEN
NOTICEABLE THAT WE WERE MISSING A CHARACTER
THROUGH THE SHOTS THAT WE ADDED AND THE ORDER IN
WHICH WE INTENDED TO PLACE THEM INTO OUR TRAILER.
WE FIRST FILMED SOME SCENES INSIDE OF THE HOUSE
AND THEN WE ALL MADE OUR WAY DOWN TO A LOCAL
ALLEY WAY WHEN IT HAD GOTTEN A LITTLE DARKER.

Sixth stage of filming:
FOR THIS SHOT WE SAT THE CAMERA ON A TRIPOD AND
USED A LONG SHOT SO AS NOT TO SHOW ONLY THE
POLICE OFFICER BUT THE LOCATION THAT HE WAS IN
ALSO. FOR USE IN OUR TRAILER THIS SHOT WOULD BE
SHORTENED AND WOULD NOT SHOW HIS WHOLE
JOURNEY AROUND THE KITCHEN.

Sixth stage of filming:
THIS CLOSE UP ENABLES THE AUDIENCE TO CLEARLY
SEE WHAT WAS WRITTEN ON THE NOTE, IT WOULD
MOST PROBABLY BE PLACED AFTER A MID SHOT OF THE
NOTE BEING FOUND ON THE COUNTER TO ESTABLISH
HOW AND WHY THE ACTOR IS NOW HOLDING THIS NOTE.

THIS OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT SHOWS TO THE
AUDIENCE WHAT IT IS THAT THE POLICE OFFICER IS
LOOKING AT, AND ENABLES THEM TO SEE THE
DOCUMENT THAT ACTS AS A POSSIBLE WATERSHED
MOMENT IN OUR TRAILER WHEN HE FINALLY FINDS THE
CLUE THAT HE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR IN ORDER TO
TRACK DOWN TREVOR KING.

Sixth stage of filming:
THIS SHOT FOLLOWS OUR ACTOR HAS HE WALKS
ALONG AND TO FILM THIS WE POSITIONED THE CAMERA
ON A STABILISER TO MAKE IT LOOK MORE
PROFESSIONAL. WE WOULD EDIT OUT THE SOUND AS
WE ARE AWARE THAT SOMEONE SPOKE WHILEST THE
SHOT WAS BEING FILMED, BUT THERE IS NO IMPORTANT
DIALOGUE IN THIS SHOT THAT NEEDS TO BE KEPT FOR
OUR TRAILER. THE DARKNESS OF THE SETTING AND
THE FACT THAT HIS FACE CANNOT BE SEEN ADDS A
SENSE OF MYSTERY, BUT WE WOULD KNOW FROM JUST
THIS SHOT OF HIS SHOULDER AND HIS HAIR THAT IT IS
THE CHARACTER WE HAVE SEEN BEFORE TAKING PART
IN VIOLENT ACTS.

Sixth stage of filming:
AFTER FILMING THIS SHOT WE DECIDED THAT IT WOULD
BE MORE EFFECTIVE TO ACTUALLY SHOW THE
CHARACTER IN THE FRONT OF THE SHOT TO
DEMONSTRATE WHO HE WAS CHASING JUST IN CASE IT
WASN’T COMPLETELY CLEAR. WE THEN RE-FILMED THIS
SHOT WITH BOTH CHARACTERS VISIBLE.

Sixth stage of filming:
THIS STAGE WAS TAKEN FROM A LOW ANGLE AND WAS
SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT THE EYELINE VIEW OF A
CHARACTER ON THE FLOOR WITH THE POLICE MANS
GUN POINTING DIRECTLY AT HIM. WE DECIDED UPON
THIS SHOT AS A HIGH CONTENDER FOR OUR ENDING
SHOT, BUT CONSIDERED POSSIBLY SLOWING IT DOWN A
LITTLE. WE TOO THEN CONSIDERED ADDING THE SOUND
EFFECT OF A GUN AS WE THOUGHT THAT WOULD WORK
WELL, AND WE COULD MAKE OUR TRAILER CUT TO A
BLACKOUT UPON THE SHOUND OF THE SHOT.

Editing:
AFTER COLLECTING ALL OF THE SHOTS THAT WE
NEEDED FOR A TRAILER I UPLOADED THEM ONTO OUR
GROUPS DROPBOX ACCOUNT AND WE DISCUSSED AS A
GROUP WHICH SHOTS WE THOUGHT WE SHOULD OR
SHOULD NOT USE. I THEN IMPORTED THE ONES THAT
WE FELT WERE SUITABLE INTO IMOVIE AND EDITTED
THEM INTO A SEQUENCE THAT I THOUGHT BEST
DESRCIBED WHAT OUR FILM WAS ABOUT. NANA TOOK
UPON HIMSELF THE TASK OF DESIGNING, CREATING AND
ANIMATING THE FILM LOGO, THE PRODUCTION
COMPANY LOGO AND THE TITLE CREDITS TO BE
DISPLAYED IN OUR TRAILER. I THEN E-MAILED A COPY
OF THE TRAILER TO JACK WITHOUT ANY SOUND AND HE
EDITED THE SOUNDTRACK TO FIT IT.
