Evaluation question 3
1. HOW DID YOUR PRODUCTION
SKILLS DEVELOP
THROUGHOUT THIS PROJECT?
Evaluation Question 3
2. Chase Task
My first practice task of the year was a sequence that involved someone being
stalked. As this was my first task of the year there where lots of rookie
production problems that we had such as White balance which was sort of fixed
in the editing (frame below) in my sequence, communication within my group
was not very good and there was not enough time put into the planning and
story boards.
3. Preliminary Task
My second task of the year was the preliminary task a sequence which involved
having two people have a conversation so we could practice shot reverse shots
and the 180 degree rule. This time around we had no white balance problems
and my groups planning and communication was better but still not great. We
also encountered a problem when we did reshoots as the settings on the camera
were different making the colour more yellow in some shots (frames below),
creating continuity errors in our preliminary task.
4. Final Task
My Final task of the year was the Thriller opening sequence which involved
having a credit sequence for the beginning of a thriller genre film. The production
skills of my group as a whole really improved, our communication was a lot
better than previous tasks and we spent a significantly large amount of time on
planning for this task than any other. For this task we also had to do some
reshoots and were very careful this time to keep the settings of the camera
consistent for the redone shots (frames below) so the sequence would remain
continuous.
