3. Information System
• Information System is any combination of Information
Technology and people's activities that support operations,
management and decision making.
• In a broad sense, the term information system is frequently
used to refer to the interaction between people, processes,
data and technology.
• The term is used to refer not only to the Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) that an organization uses, but
also to the way in which people interact with this technology in
support of business processes
• Information system is a system which serve the management of
the organization providing managers with reports and online
access to organization current performance and records.

• Management Information Systems are not only
computer systems - these systems encompass three
primary components: technology, people (individuals,
groups, or organizations), and data/information for
decision making

• Here the purpose of Administrative Information Systems (AIS)
is to support the reporting needs of RMC, to provide an
automated method to collect, store and process RMC
Administration data, and provide technical expertise to RMC
departments.
• RMC AIS will provide efficient and effective administrative
solutions that contribute to the success of the RMC
Administration and other strategic initiatives.
