  command from one manager

 Avoids confusion and overburden
 Efforts of all the members in same
  activities should be towards a
  common goal.
 Related activities should be grouped
  together
 Without unity of direction, unity of
  action cannot be achieved
 Unity of command is not possible

 Reconciliation (acceptance) should be
  achieved between individual and
  group interest
 In case of conflict, individual must
  sacrifice his/her bigger interest
 Payments/compensations       should
  be fair, reasonable, satisfactory &
  rewarding
 Wages determined on the basis of
  cost of living, financial position
  etc.
 Concentration  of authority at the
  top level management
 Degree of centralization or
  otherwise depends on
  -size of business
  -experience of superiors
  -ability of subordinates
 The  chain of superiors ranging
  from ultimate authority to lowest
 Every orders and instructions has
  to pass through the scalar chain
 For the sake of convenience and
  urgency, the path can be cut
  short, known as GANG PLANK
   The workplace must be clean, tidy and safe
   Everything must have its place.

   SOCIAL ORDER: selection and appointment
    of the most suitable person for the job.
    There should be specific place for everyone.

   MATERIAL ORDER: A specific and safe place
    for every article and commodity.
 Managers   must deal with fairness,
  kindness and justice
 They should not discriminate on
  the basis of caste, age, sex,
  religion, region etc.
 EQUITY does not mean total
  absence of harshness
 Employ should not be moved from one
  job position to another frequently
 Period of service in a job should be
  fixed
 If not, the employee will not be able to
  render his service efficiently
 Necessary   level of freedom to
  employees to create and carry out
  work/plans
 It helps in developing trust and
  understanding
 May result in more improved
  plans and implementations
 French term, refers to team spirit
 Harmony in work group and
  mutual understanding
 Encouragement to develop
  informal relations
 Efficient employees should be
  awarded, otherwise, given a chance to
  improve
 More use of Britain communication,
  i.e. face to face communication
 Results in enjoyment at workplace and
  no place for misunderstanding
