Technical - camera angle, shot, iconography, editing, lighting, sound, music, computer graphics and special effects (SFX)
Symbolic - language, dress, and actions of characters. Symbolic codes show what is beneath the surface of what we see.
Conventions - What should we expect to see?
The things we should expect to see from soft drinks adverts are things such as animation and friends and
they also try and create characters that we as an audience can relate to they create a group in ordinary
situations but then give them a new release by getting the product they desire. They always try and create a
desire for the product by showing that the characters that don’t have it want it an will do anything to get it,
they also try and create a cool feel to the drink to give the feeling that you automatically become cooler
when you have the product.
