Systems theory sees the system as a set of related components that work together in a particular
environment to perform specific functions that are required of them to achieve the system's objective
(Walker, 2012). Most people are part of a variety of systems and subsystems. For example, a family
is seen as a system in itself but each member of the family may have different subsystems, such as
their peers, education, job, recreational activities, etc. and all of these subsystems play a role in the
functioning of the system being examined. Applied theorists of systems theory see the system as
goal–seeking and when they discuss a problem within the system, it doesn't necessarily mean that
something is wrong but rather that the situation needs to be better understood and a solution to be
found and implemented for the system to continue operating smoothly (2012).
The social worker has decided to utilize systems theory approach when working with the Brown
family. The social worker finds it extremely important to look at this family as a system of
individual working together and believes that the family as a whole cannot be completely
understood without looking at how the individuals work together and getting a grasp on their
dynamic. Each member of the family has designated roles and are expected to respond to each other

Systems thinking described human thinking in a spiritual activity of the brain, that is, brainwork,
following the concept of being as the spiritual alive body. It asserts that thinking means the
processing of information that is essential for the management of the human body life (Broks,
2016). This paper discusses systems theory of systems thinking as applied to organizations today, in
particular to learning institutions versus those of traditional organizations, and their functionalities.
Research has taught us that companies are compelling, hierarchically structured entities. Such

According to Davis, Powell, Dent and Wharff (2015), the features of "discovery, action, and

I of course have stressful
situations and recieve negative input or output, but who doesnt? Feedback is extremely
important for systems and is a type of input. A system can have either positive feedback
(a system recieving info that what they are doing is correct) or negative feedback
(influences the individual to make a change because it interupts homeostasis). Throughout
most of my ecomap, I mostly have positive feedback but also have a few negative
feedbacks.
Systems tend to move from a simple form to a more complex form. This is known
as differentiation. Life brings in new experiences, relationships, and situations everyday,
so each day your life becomes more complex. One day, a subsystem can have a positive
energy flow and then the very next a negative. It can change by a drop of a hat. "Entropy

Economic system allows countries to follow procedure to produce goods using resources available
in the countries. It allows the countries to know how much and for whom to produce. There are
different types of economic systems in different countries and they all have their different
regulations according to their planned economic system. There are two different types of market:

The respiratory system's organs bring in oxygen by inhaling and remove carbon dioxide by
exhaling. Oxygen travels through the trachea, pharynx, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli. At the
alveoli gas exchange occurs in which oxygen diffuses into the bloodstream of the circulatory
system, and carbon dioxide is removed from the bloodstream and exhaled. The close connection of
these two body systems is important to note when analyzing the effects of smoking on each system
separately.

One effect of smoking is irritation of the organs in the respiratory system including the trachea and
bronchi, which is called bronchitis.
MUCUS
In a healthy respiratory system, mucus attacks harmful bacteria and is pushed up the throat by cilia
that beat along the lining of the trachea, bronchi, and bronchial tubes. Then, mucus can be ejected
from the mouth or nose (ex: hock a loogie) or swallowed into the stomach where the acidity
destroys the potential threats of the bacteria caught by mucus

In the respiratory system of a person that smokes, the mucus cannot carry out its job properly. In the
lung passageways, as a result of smoking, there is mucus buildup. With excess mucus, there is too
much bacteria and mucus is more prone to infection.

Pharynx
The pharynx is where the food moves into from the back of the mouth. It is separated into three
pathways. The nasopharynx is a pathway for only air, the oropharynx is a pathway for food and air,
and the laryngopharynx is where both food and air pass by penetrating through the nose.
Esophagus
After successfully passing through the pharynx, it moves to the esophagus. The esophagus links
together the stomach and the pharynx so when food is consumed by the organism, it moves into the
stomach.
Stomach
The stomach muscles work together to break down food so part of digestion takes place here. It also
produces acids (hydrochloric acid) and enzymes (pepsin) and mucus which work together to break

Compared to other well performing hospitals, we had a similar mix of patient population and our
fleet of doctors, surgeons and nurses were equally as good as other organizations, if not better. This
issue needed a system perspective to go beyond the knowledge of what is known, transcend
paradigms and uncover the hidden solutions. A rigorous analysis revealed that we did a great job at
what we were supposed to do i.e. transplant. Since our program faced fierce competition in the

transplant process to help our patients. Equipped with this knowledge, we consciously expanded our
boundary of care. Not only was it the right thing to do, but without it, the existence of our
organization was in question. Now our patients receive personalized care and the transplant
coordinator provides several personalized pre and post–transplant coaching sessions to help patients
understand the process. Our dedicated social health worker makes home visits and schedules
periodic sessions with patients to ensure their compliance and ability to survive the transplant

interactions among the elements. What system analysis does is create a framework to be reviewed
and discussed among individuals in different areas to determine what is the best way to accomplish
its desired goals and what must be done for their current and future needs of the organization. In
simpler words, systems analysis is a structured system because of certain tools and techniques such
as data flow diagrams are used to conduct analysis. Systems analysis shows how a business
functions in order to increase effectiveness, efficiency and to improve an organizations work
processes.
In reading Thinking in Systems, it states that there are three things a system consist of: elements,
interconnections, and a purpose or function (Meadows, 2008). Systems may exhibit dynamic, self–
preserving, goal–seeking and even evolutionary behavior; basically it is more than just the

of policy to be addressed and passed than that of a parliamentary system. As Mainwaring and
Shugart explain because congress is separate from the executive office they can act on legislation
deemed necessary rather than worrying about the stability of the government. Thus the priority of
congress is exactly what it should be, to purpose and pass legislation, this allows for more serious

parliament their priority is constantly torn between pushing just the right amount of legislation to
make progress, but not too much that it will break the coalitions with the Prime Minister's cabinet

Mainwaring and Shugart go on to explain the possibility of a deadlock if the President and congress
majorities come from different parties; however, this is not a constant pressure like that of the

Most people are part of a variety of systems and subsystems. For example, a family is seen as a system in itself but each member of the family may have different subsystems, such as their peers, education, job, recreational activities, etc. and all of these subsystems play a role in the functioning of the system being examined. Applied theorists of systems theory see the system as goal–seeking and when they discuss a problem within the system, it doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong but rather that the situation needs to be better understood and a solution to be found and implemented for the system to continue operating smoothly (2012).
