Justin studies differently depending on the subject. He does not study for math or PE since they do not require memorizing texts or preparing for tests. However, he must study for history and writing since they involve reading materials and being tested on content. To study, Justin takes notes in class and reads assigned texts, sometimes multiple times, as he learns visually. While picturing pages and rereading from memory works for Justin, he does not recommend others use this method since it is inconsistent and difficult.

2. SUBJECTS NO STUDYING
 The amount or way I study is dependent on the subject.
In some classes I don’t study, classes such as Mathematics
and physical education. The only reason this trend of not studying
occurs is that the way to study for a math class would be to memorize
the formula and for physical education class there isn’t text to read or
tests to take.

3. SUBJECTS THAT STUDY
 Subjects I study for include history and writing.
• The reason I have to study for these classes is that the work is
primarily based on materials that are read in or out of class.
 History homework, tests, and quizzes are based on bookwork that
needs to be memorized the way the book reads.
 Writing homework needs to be in the “correct” format so that all
possible points are earned.

4. HOW I STUDY
 I study the notes that I have taken in class as well as reading and
sometimes rereading the book or books assigned.
 I am a visual learner so the more I can see the subject the more
likely I am to remember what was written.
• For example when I take tests I picture the page and reread the
section that the question was from.

5. IS MY METHOD GOOD
 My method is pretty much only useful for myself. I don’t
recommend anyone else trying to picture the page and rereading from
memory its inconsistent and very difficult.
