2. Our Pitch
ā¢ Today, we are going to pitch to you a
professional, clean and smart stop animation,
aimed at children 7-15.
ā¢ The animation will be conducted and
produced by Smart Stop Animation, a new and
professional animation company.
3. Target Audience
ā¢ Our target audience is aimed at
children aged between 7 and
15, based on our research. We
feel that animation is based
towards this age range and that
it will be successful at this
target market. With the
simplicity, character design and
the length of the animation,
the audience will enjoy it and
wonāt get bored of it.
4. Plot
ā¢ The plot in un-complex and easy to follow.
ā The character is in a classroom and walks around
simple objects like a stapler and paperclip. The
character interacts with the objects. The ending
will involve something along the lines of the
character combining all the items or the character
being trapped by the stapler/object.
5. Style of animation
ā¢ Our animation is a stop motion animation. We
feel that it is a popular type of animation and
looks brilliant. Here is a stop motion
animation video.
6. Characters
ā¢ There will only be one character as it is a
simple animation. It will be wooden and easy
to manipulate and move. We feel this will be
the best type of material and character due to
the simplicity.
7. Individual Roles

8. Risk Assessment
ā¢ A risk assessment is essential to any
production because it helps identify problems
that may cause production problems for
example copyright issues.
ā¢ It will ensure that production isn't affected
due to a legal problem or a physical injury.
ā¢ It is vital that everyone in the production
follows the Risk assessment and acknowledges
the risks.
9. Our Research
ā¢ We conducted secondary and primary research to
aid our production. The secondary research
consisted of looking at viewing figures of child
animation. We concluded that childrenās
animation is still popular and will be watched by
our target audience. For the primary research, we
found that the most popular type of animation is
drama and comedy, these two work well
together. The main age range was 7-15, which has
paved the way for our target audience.
10. How are we going to produce our
animation?
ā¢ We are going to use a Nikon D3100 DSLR
camera to take each single frame, and then
combine them together on iMovie. This is the
best and most effective way to achieve a stop
animation production.
11. Production schedule
ā¢ A production schedule is important in all aspects of filming
especially in Stop Motion Animation as it is a very time
consuming process, and in terms of studio time is expensive.
ā¢ This schedule will ensure filming stays on budget and keeps to
a strict timeframe.
ā¢ It is also vital that everyone in the production understands
their role and when their contribution takes place. In this
production I have completed the script and will ensure that
filming follows the storyboard. I am also responsible for
creating and producing the characters.
ā¢ Both of us would be involved in the filming we have our own
equipment (Camera, lighting, props and characters) and have
booked spares.
12. Production Schedule Ctnd
ā¢ The Schedule will include details of all the props and
equipment that are required for this production.
ā¢ We will ensure that we have everything that we need
for the filming which includes:
ā¢ Props, characters, and all sound effects and music
that we plan to use.
ā¢ Production notes will also include references to
script, lighting and sound for example a quiet studio
will need to be booked and available when we are
ready to film
13. Music
ā¢ We will have diegetic sounds that will make
the animation seem more realistic and
interesting, but also non diegetic to keep the
audience engaged.
