1. Planning
Date/Time:
1st February 2014 – 3rd February 2014
Throughout the day and some of the
night
Location:
Dacre Banks
Equipment:
DSLR with 18 – 55mm lens, tripod, remote shutter release.
Day
1st February
Day:
During the day I am going to take an image in good quality daylight of a countryside landscape where
rolling hills and fields will be visible, after setting the camera on the tripod I will ensure that I have a
small shutter speed and a medium aperture depending on the light quality to ensure that I create a
good image, I will also have the camera set to manual focus in order to be able to slightly alter the
focus to create a hazy illusion to the photograph that I take.
Night:
I will then take an image of the same landscape but at night, and because of the lack of light
pollution I will be able to capture the stars and the moon after I have set my camera on the tripod,
altered the shutter speed to a very long exposure time and increased the aperture to ensure that the
light from the stars and moon is captured, I will then use a remote shutter release to capture the
image and to make sure that there is no movement of the frame.
These two images will be overlapped and after being edited the top layer’s opacity will be reduced
to give the illusion of a night sky within a daylight landscape (and multiple exposure) – something that
is not possible within reality.
2nd / 3rd February
Day:
I willbe taking images in a forest with a female model who I will have wearing a long white dress
(possibly with the hen covered in mud). The model will be posing close to the ground and in the trees,
she will be involved in the nature of her surroundings, her facial expressions will be depicting awe and
slight confusion, two emotions that
