2. Linear or Non-linear
My story is a linear story because the plot follows from
beginning to end without any breaks in the story
A non-linear story is Deadpool because throughout the
story, Deadpool’s setting up flashbacks to explain his
origin story and why he’s doing what he’s doing
3. Open or Closed
My story is a closed story because my story comes
concludes at the end of the book
An open story is usually a TV series where each episode
follows from the last, like The Flash because each
episode clearly follows the episode before it
4. Single or Multi-Strand
My story is a single strand story because there’s only
one story throughout the entire book
A multi strand story is where the story has more then
one plot, like Family Guy because each episode usually
has a main plot and a sub plot
5. Realist or Anti-Realist
My story is realist because nothing happens in my story
that couldn’t happen in real life
Anti-realist is where part or all of the story is impossible
to actually happen in real life
6. Components
Opening – Setting the scene, telling the audience who the
characters are
Conflict – When Robin Hood and the Sheriff are in the same
scene
Resolution – Robin Hood forces the Sheriff to leave
Enigma – What drives Robin Hood
Climax – The scene where Robin Hood and the Sheriff fight
Manipulation of time and space – Not involved in my story
