Materials:Visual aids, book, puzzles, LCD projector, laptop, speaker and envelop.

A. ROUTINARY ACTIVITIES
Let’s pray first

(A student will lead the prayer)

Say Good Morning to our visitors.

Good morning visitors!

(Checking of attendance)
Kindly tell me who are absent today.

(A student will say the name(s) of absent/s)

Please pick up the pieces of papers under your
chair, if there is.

(Students will pick up the pieces of papers and
puts it in their pockets)

B. REVIEW
Before we start with our new lesson for today, let
us first review what we have discussed last
meeting.
Class who can tell me here what force and motion
is?

(Students will answer)

Class I have here 10 questions that is answerable
by TRUE or FALSE. Raise True (Flash Card) if
the statement is correct and False (Flash Card) if
the statement is incorrect.
(Teacher is reading the questions)

(Students will raise TRUE or FALSE flash cards)

C. MOTIVATION
Class I have here five (5) envelop that consists of
puzzles. I want you to group yourself into 5.
(Each group will be choosing their leader)
Leaders come forward and get your group’s
envelop here.
Each group you are assigned to build the puzzle
inside envelops.

(Students are listening and grouping themselves)
You may now start connecting the puzzle.

(The students will build the puzzles)

You may now be seated. Leaders will present their
group’s puzzle.

Group 1: The pictureshows dress for sunny day
Group 2: The picture shows dress for rainy day
Group 3: The picture shows what happen on a
stormy day
Group 4: The pictureshows dress for windy day
Group 5: The picture shows dress for windy day

Now, what do you observed with the puzzles?

The pictures on the puzzles wear different clothes
for different weather.

D. LESSON PROPER
Class, how would you describe the weather? Does
it sun shine brightly? Or is it raining?

Teacher, the sun shines brightly.

Do you think the weather would be the same all
throughout the day?

Class, there are five kinds of weather. Do you
want to know the different kinds of weather?
What do you notice with this?

The girl is eating ice cream, and holding a fan.

Why do you think she’s eating ice cream, and
holding a fan?
Very good! If it is hot, what is the weather?

Teacher, because it is hot.

What do people love to do during summer
vacation?

People love to go swimming on the beach.

It is sunny day!
Very good! What are the other things that people
love to do during summer vacation?

People also love to engage in sports activities.

Very Good! Mothers would also love to have
general cleaning of the house, doing the laundry,
and drying clothes in the sun.
Let’s now move to our next photo that represents
the next weather.

What does the girl wear?

The girl wears rain coat and boots.

Very good! Why is she wearing rain coat and
boots?

For her not to get wet.

What do you do during a rainy day?
Is it safe to go out? Why?

No, teacher I just stay inside the house.

Very good! What do you see in the sky when it is
rainy day?

On a rainy day, the sky is cloudy and the sun is not
visible because dark clouds filled with water cover
it.

What do you noticed with this one?

He is flying a kite.

What do you think make the kite fly?

The kite flies because of the air.

Very good! The kite flies because of the air or the
wind. Windy day or a windy weather is the perfect
time for flying kites.
What other people do when it is windy day?

Some people go out to refresh themselves. As the
wind blows, plants and leaves or branches of trees
sway and clouds in the sky moves fast.

Let us move on with the next weather. What do
you noticed with this?

The man is smiling or happy.
Very good! What do you think is the reason why
the man is happy?

Because it is not hot.

Very good! What do you see in the sky when it is
cloudy day?

During cloudy days or cloudy weather, the sky is
almost covered with clouds.

That’s why it is called cloudy day / weather.
Let us now go with our last kind of weather.
What do you noticed with this?

The rain is heavy and there is a strong wind.

Very good! During stormy weather, people
experience heavy rains and strong winds. This may
accompanied by lightning and thunder.
Is it safe to go out? Why?

No, because the rain is heavy and accompanied by
lightning and thunder.

Very good! People are advised to stay at home and
listen to news updates about the weather.
What do you wear during stormy weather? Why?

During stormy weather I wear, jacket. Because I
feel cold.

Very good! Since the temperature is colder, people
wear thick clothes and sweaters to keep
themselves warm.

E. GENERALIZATION
Let’s sum up what we have discussed; What are
the different kinds of weather?

The five kinds of weather are Sunny, Windy,
Cloudy, Rainy and Stormy.

Correct! The five kind of weather are sunny,
windy, cloudy, rainy, and stormy.

F. APPLICATION
Very good! Class I have here a chart.

(Students are listening)
Get the words under your table or arm chairs and I
will call you one – by – one to paste the words that
may describe Sunny, Windy, Cloudy, Rainy and
Stormy Weather.

(The students will get the papers with words that
describe a weather, written on it )

(Teacher will assess her students explanations)

(Student will explain the word he / she pasted on
the chart that describe each kind of weather)

G. VALUES INTEGRATION
Why is it important for children like you to be
aware of the weather condition for the day?

It is important for us children to be aware of the
weather condition for the day for us to be ready.

Very good! We need to be aware of what the
weather condition of the day is, for us to be ready
or prepared and alert.
Who can explain the importance of being prepared
in case of the weather changes?

Teacher if the rain comes we will not get wet
because we bring umbrella.

EVALUATION
Identify the kinds of weather being described in each statement.

_____10. Dark clouds cover the sun while rain fall heavily for most part of the day.

Materials:Visual aids, book, puzzles, LCD projector, laptop, speaker and envelop. III. PROCEDURE TEACHER’S ACTIVITY STUDENT’S ACTIVITY A. ROUTINARY ACTIVITIES Let’s pray first (A student will lead the prayer) Good Morning Class! Say Good Morning to our visitors. Good morning teacher! Good morning visitors! (Checking of attendance) Kindly tell me who are absent today. (A student will say the name(s) of absent/s) Please pick up the pieces of papers under your chair, if there is. (Students will pick up the pieces of papers and puts it in their pockets) B. REVIEW Before we start with our new lesson for today, let us first review what we have discussed last meeting. Class who can tell me here what force and motion is? (Students will answer) Class I have here 10 questions that is answerable by TRUE or FALSE. Raise True (Flash Card) if the statement is correct and False (Flash Card) if the statement is incorrect. (Teacher is reading the questions) (Students will raise TRUE or FALSE flash cards) C. MOTIVATION Class I have here five (5) envelop that consists of puzzles. I want you to group yourself into 5. (Each group will be choosing their leader) Leaders come forward and get your group’s envelop here. Each group you are assigned to build the puzzle inside envelops. (Students are listening and grouping themselves)

Group 1: The pictureshows dress for sunny day Group 2: The picture shows dress for rainy day Group 3: The picture shows what happen on a stormy day Group 4: The pictureshows dress for windy day Group 5: The picture shows dress for windy day Now, what do you observed with the puzzles? The pictures on the puzzles wear different clothes for different weather. Very good! D. LESSON PROPER Class, how would you describe the weather? Does it sun shine brightly? Or is it raining? Teacher, the sun shines brightly. Do you think the weather would be the same all throughout the day? Yes / No teacher! Who says YES? Why yes? Who says NO? Why not? (Some students will raise their hands) (Students will answer) (Some students will raise their hands) (Students will answer) Do you think the weather would be the same all throughout the week? Yes / No teacher! Who says YES? Why yes? Who says NO? Why not? Yes teacher, for us to be informed and ready. Yes teacher! Class, there are five kinds of weather. Do you want to know the different kinds of weather? What do you notice with this? The girl is eating ice cream, and holding a fan. Why do you think she’s eating ice cream, and holding a fan? Very good! If it is hot, what is the weather? Teacher, because it is hot. What do people love to do during summer vacation? People love to go swimming on the beach. It is sunny day!
  • 3. Very good! What are the other things that people love to do during summer vacation? People also love to engage in sports activities. Very Good! Mothers would also love to have general cleaning of the house, doing the laundry, and drying clothes in the sun. Let’s now move to our next photo that represents the next weather. What does the girl wear? The girl wears rain coat and boots. Very good! Why is she wearing rain coat and boots? For her not to get wet. What do you do during a rainy day? Is it safe to go out? Why? No, teacher I just stay inside the house. Very good! What do you see in the sky when it is rainy day? On a rainy day, the sky is cloudy and the sun is not visible because dark clouds filled with water cover it. What do you noticed with this one? He is flying a kite. What do you think make the kite fly? The kite flies because of the air. Very good! The kite flies because of the air or the wind. Windy day or a windy weather is the perfect time for flying kites. What other people do when it is windy day? Some people go out to refresh themselves. As the wind blows, plants and leaves or branches of trees sway and clouds in the sky moves fast. Let us move on with the next weather. What do you noticed with this? The man is smiling or happy.
  • 4. Very good! What do you think is the reason why the man is happy? Because it is not hot. Very good! What do you see in the sky when it is cloudy day? During cloudy days or cloudy weather, the sky is almost covered with clouds. That’s why it is called cloudy day / weather. Let us now go with our last kind of weather. What do you noticed with this? The rain is heavy and there is a strong wind. Very good! During stormy weather, people experience heavy rains and strong winds. This may accompanied by lightning and thunder. Is it safe to go out? Why? No, because the rain is heavy and accompanied by lightning and thunder. Very good! People are advised to stay at home and listen to news updates about the weather. What do you wear during stormy weather? Why? During stormy weather I wear, jacket. Because I feel cold. Very good! Since the temperature is colder, people wear thick clothes and sweaters to keep themselves warm. E. GENERALIZATION Let’s sum up what we have discussed; What are the different kinds of weather? The five kinds of weather are Sunny, Windy, Cloudy, Rainy and Stormy. Correct! The five kind of weather are sunny, windy, cloudy, rainy, and stormy. F. APPLICATION Very good! Class I have here a chart. (Students are listening)
  • 5. Get the words under your table or arm chairs and I will call you one – by – one to paste the words that may describe Sunny, Windy, Cloudy, Rainy and Stormy Weather. (The students will get the papers with words that describe a weather, written on it ) (Teacher will assess her students explanations) (Student will explain the word he / she pasted on the chart that describe each kind of weather) G. VALUES INTEGRATION Why is it important for children like you to be aware of the weather condition for the day? It is important for us children to be aware of the weather condition for the day for us to be ready. Very good! We need to be aware of what the weather condition of the day is, for us to be ready or prepared and alert. Who can explain the importance of being prepared in case of the weather changes? Teacher if the rain comes we will not get wet because we bring umbrella. Class, please answer this activity IV. EVALUATION Identify the kinds of weather being described in each statement. _____1. The sun shines brightly. _____2. Clouds cover the sun and the sky. _____3. The wind blows hard and leaves fall to the ground. _____4. The rain pours heavily and the wind blows strongly. _____5. Thick clouds cover the sun. _____6.Clouds in the sky move fast. _____7. The sky is dark and the rain falls continuously. _____8. Roofs of the sky are blown away and trees are uprooted. _____9. The sky is clear. _____10. Dark clouds cover the sun while rain fall heavily for most part of the day. V. ASSIGNMENT Choose a kind of weather and draw it on a piece of bond paper.
