Dijon Isaiah McFarlane (born June 5,
1990), professionally known as DJ
Mustard, is an American record producer,
songwriter and DJ from Los Angeles,
California. He is perhaps best known for
being the official DJ of Compton-bred
rapper YG, as well as for producing a
string of hit singles since his entrance into
mainstream music in 2011. Mustard's
production style has been described as an
up-tempo, club oriented, catchy yet
rudimentary melodic hip hop style. This
style has snowballed into the
contemporary production style of West
Coast hip hop during the early 2010s,
which he calls "ratchet music".
3. Mike Will Made It
Leland Wayne (born September 16, 1993),
professionally known as Metro Boomin
(also known as Metro and Metro Beatz), is
an American record producer and
songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri, and
now based in Atlanta, Georgia. Metro is
best known for producing instrumentals for
rappers such as Future, Ludacris, Migos,
Young Thug, Travi$ Scott, Meek Mill,
Drake, Nicki Minaj and Wiz Khalifa, among
others.
4. Soulja Boy
DeAndre Cortez Way (born July 28,
1990), better known by his stage name
Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, or simply Soulja Boy,
is an American rapper, record producer,
actor and entrepreneur. In September
2007, his single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)"
reached number one on the US Billboard
Hot 100.
5. Metro Boomin
Believe it or not, Future’s hit track “Karate Chop”, a
track that was later released as a single featuring Lil
Wayne, was produced by a 19-year-old. That teen, who
is now 20, is St. Louis-born, Atlanta-living Metro
Boomin. The young producer released a mixtape in
October 2013 titled “19 & Boomin” – a fitting name,
seeing the guests who appeared on the project. At this
point in his career, Metro Boomin has collaborated with
several notable artists including doing several tracks
with Future, as well as Gucci Mane, OJ da Juiceman,
Ace Hood, Young Thug, Curren$y, Young Scooter, DJ
Spinz, Trinidad James, and various others.
6. Cardo
Cardo is a rapper turned producer from
Minnesota, who now lives in Fort Worth,
Texas. Once he had started producing, he
gained recognition from his SoundClick,
and eventually joined Taylor Gang. He has
produced many songs, including Wiz
Khalifa hits In The Cut and O.N.I.F.C., as
well as songs for Sir Michael Rocks, Mac
Miller, and Gerald Walker
