Visual rhetoric is the art of persuasion through images and graphics. While verbal information requires sequential brain processing, visual information allows for simultaneous processing and is easier to comprehend. We are exposed to an average of 5,000 visual messages per day. Not everything we see counts as visual rhetoric, and creating effective visual messages requires understanding how images can persuade their audience.
