Multiple Intelligence Theory suggests that there is more than  one way or knowing and learning. Traditional IQ tests do not give an accurate picture of someone's intelligence. There are eight different kinds of intelligence
Linguistic Intelligence Has highly developed auditory skills. Enjoys listening. Likes to write. Can learn by listening. Possesses a good memory for names, dates, places.
Logical-Mathematical Intelligence Explores patterns and relationships. Reasons in a logical pattern. Can think sequentially. Like to problem solve and experiment.
Visual-Spatial Intelligence Think in images and pictures. Visually oriented. Reads maps, charts, and diagrams. Designs, invents creates.
Musical Intelligence Enjoys music Sensitive to sounds in the environment. Appreciates tone, pitch, rhythm, and melody. Responds to musical structure. May sing or play an instrument.
Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence Needs to move around physically Able to use body in differentiated and skilled ways. Likes to touch and feel things. Knowledge processed through bodily sensations.
Intrapersonal Intelligence Understands inner self Marches to own drummer. Reflective and introspective. Strong-wile and independent. Aware of strengths weaknesses and inner feelings.
Interpersonal Intelligence Understands and works well with others. Expresses empathy for feeling of others. Enjoys people. Responds to moods and temperaments of others.
Naturalist Intelligence Profound love of the outdoors. Fascinated by weather, plants , animals. Capable of discerning different species. Has respect for all living things.
