Everyone knows that after you complete your undergraduate studies, if you continue to further your
education, you enroll in a Master 's program for your graduate studies. There are many unique
differences between undergraduate and graduate programs. These differences consist of the subjects
in which classes are taken, the sizes of the classrooms, and the length and quality of the papers. This
paper will discuss these differences in detail.
Graduate courses are often more along the lines of research topics, emphasizing on the gathering of
information, making connections and analyzing. In a graduate program one must think critically
and look for similarities between theories and applications. In undergraduate studies, the courses
are broader in the fact that the classes are mostly general classes that can be less focused and less
informative of those courses of graduate programs. Courses in graduate schools are more focused in
detailed topics related to the field of study. The work is substantially more progressed, with the
understudy in charge of meeting due dates while diving more profound into the exploration to
discover new territories of thought and study to apply to issues.
The most fundamental thing about graduate school is the subject examined can 't be changed as
effortlessly as in undergraduate school. Undergraduate programs take into account the examination of

The Between Undergrad And Grad Essay
To someone who hasn't been through grad school, there isn't much difference between the
undergrad and grad coursework. Yet this preconceived notion could be further from the truth.
Without a doubt, the level of study for a graduate program is more rigorous and demanding than
study involved at the undergrad level. I've discovered only others who are in or have completed
grad school truly understand what it is like. Further insights on how the two levels of study differ
can be found below. Reading. First, while undergrad courses require reading, it barely compares to
the amount required at the graduate level. Grad school entails a tremendous amount of reading,
ranging anywhere from 50–100 pages per week. And if you are taking multiple courses, be ready to
multiply that figure. The only way to accomplish it all is to realize it is near impossible to read
all the material cover to cover. Expectation that you don't read it all, but rather skim the articles
and pull out main points. As a result I have learned a different way to approach reading articles
and develop an understanding of the material. Reflection. Along with the extensive reading comes
a high level of reflection of the material covered. Personally, I believe this is the paramount
difference between undergrad and grad study. In undergrad you learn what you already know and
for lack of a better word regurgitate the right answer on a test and move on. In contrast, in grad
school you are searching for answers that are

Research Experience
I have proactively engaged in research activity throughout my undergraduate program. I had my first
research experience in Dr. B Anand's lab, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, during my
second year. The aim of the project was to study the non–fluorescent beta–barrel structured proteins
and engineer its amino acid sequence to make them into fluorescent ones. Our approach was mainly
based upon the studies of Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) from a jellyfish Aequorea victoria. Tools
like Python programming language, Gromacs, Ribosome, PROSS, and Pymol were used to study
the structural components of non–fluorescent proteins. I gained invaluable...show more content...
I was challenged with cloning ydeH gene into the pJT118 plasmids which are green light sensitive.
The ydeH gene produces a protein named diguanylate cyclase, which induces the production of
c–di–GMP in Rosetta strain. This project gave me an opportunity to participate and win silver at
International Bio–molecular design competition (BIOMOD) 2012 held at Wyss Institute, Harvard
University, USA. Most of the molecular genetic techniques were extensively used in my project.
During this internship, apart from gaining deeper technical experience, I realized that I could work
on a research problem with a certain degree of independence, figuring out right approaches and
proposing useful experiments. I acquired more confidence in my aptitude for research and it has
been boosted while working on my undergraduate projects.
As a part of my undergraduate thesis, I worked on a project 'Extraction and analysis of beauvericin,

International Students Essay example
Differences between American Students and International Students Most young people believe that
studying in a different country is a privilege because they are able to experience other cultures, and
learn from them. However, in the United States it is not as good as they thought because
International students have much more pressure being in this country, and sometimes they cannot
handle it very well. Therefore, in the United States the life of an international student is very
unfavorable if people compare it to the life of an American student. International students have to
learn a new language to study, they cannot work while studying, and their tuition is much more
expensive. When people moves to the United Stated to study they...show more content...
They know their structure and have a very superior vocabulary, so they can compose excellent
essays. In addition, since American students speak English very well, they do not have any
problem participating in class. They have confidence in themselves, so they will not be afraid of
saying something wrong. Consequently, because American students do not have to learn any
language to study their mayor, it is much easier for them to achieve excellent grades. Most
university students feel the necessity of working since they would like to have their own money
in order to be independent from their parents. It is not the exception for International students
because they also feel the necessity of working to be independent from their parents or whoever is
responsible for them. However, for international students to work in the United States it is very
difficult because they are only allowed to work on campus. These kinds of jobs are very limited
since some of the campuses in which they study are very small. Also for an international student to
find a job on campus is difficult because people prefer to employee an American student who is
not going to have any problem speaking the language. For example, last semester a friend from
Venezuela who is studying at Miami Dade College decided that he wanted to get a job in order to
have his own money. He went to

Examples Of Academic Reflection
During the whole process of designing the IMC plan for HP Sprocket in this semester, I have
earned valuable experience about teamwork, and I have learned lessons not only from class, but
also from the whole working process. First of all, I have to admit that this group is one of the best
groups I've ever had, I used to think that only failed experience helps people learn and grow.
However, this time in a well–organised group, I found that I was wrong, positive experience
contributes as well. This essay will reflect what I have learned, and it will be mainly divided into
two parts: academic reflection and experiential reflection.
Academic Reflection
In an IMC plan, separate segment needs to cooperate with each other through organisational
communications in order to ensure that audiences can receive a same key message from different
channels (Ots and Nyilasy 2015, 134–135). Personally, I feel it is perfectly understandable as a
first–time IMC practitioner. In this group work, because we do not have much time to discuss the
"Big Idea" at the very beginning, we decided to divide the work first and then combine them
together to find out the "Big Idea". However, I found that I cannot come up with useful strategies
without effectively communicating with my teammates about our goal for this plan. After we have
finished our first draft and uploaded it to Google Drive, we all agreed that this is a weak plan,
because the messages we try to deliver in each piece do not have much in common.
As Percy (2013, 2–3) pointed out, both the key and the goal of IMC planning are "to deliver a
consistent message". This made me think we might be wrong at the aiming stage. In this scenario,
assigning work without figuring out the requirement of an IMC plan is the problem of our group,
and I need to learn that figuring out the main requirements and setting a clear goal are essential
steps for innovative projects like an IMC plan. Because they can improve both individual's task
performance and group's working efficiency (Hoegl and Parboteeah 2003, 4). There may have
certain groups that can perform well without cooperating tightly, like a calculation group, but IMC
group is definitely not one of them. Which reminds me that in the

Department of interest: Industrial design
I'm drawn to design because it is everywhere and has the potential to affect so much of how people
feel about a certain space or about an experience. From a young age, I was fortunate to be exposed
to art; my parents would constantly take my brother and me to museums and galleries and at home,
my grandmother would teach me skills such as crocheting, needlepoint and how to replicate food out
of playdough. In both elementary school and middle school I drew and created little things such as
bookmarks and stuffed animals, but I was never known as the "art kid". I loved art and I understood
that there was so much potential to create something original and to express an idea, but I just didn't
understand how. Early eighth grade I found out about...show more content...

materials and discovered an interest in sculpture. I enjoyed the process of learning the potential
of different materials and the problem solving it takes to make what I had decided I am going to
make. Where I had previously liked graphic design best, I realized that I found a different kind of
satisfaction from physically creating an object. The final step that inspired my realization, was a
communications class in which, one of the projects was to invent a product and create a print ad
for it. While doing this project, it all clicked for me. I ended up creating way more material for the
product than was required because I got sucked into the world that I created for it, fantasizing about
packaging and display and consistent branding. It combined everything I liked: graphic design, new
materials, 3D elements and for me all this pointed to industrial

My Personal Goals as a Student Essay
My Personal Goals as a Student
An obvious goal as a working adult returning to school is, of course, to earn a degree. My overall

my current business abilities, to apply what I learn in the classroom to forward my career, and to

By just going through the motions of coming to work everyday, only getting done what has to be
done, and going home at the end of the day, one might realize that an everyday routine can quickly
turn into a mundane professional life. At the same time, if a person does all of these things, but
shows a bit of initiative to gain more knowledge of the job, they may see an opportunity to
slightly move up in the company. The latter is my situation. My experience and knowledge of my
department and its systems have afforded me the opportunity to move up within the department
over the past five years, but I'm beginning to see a limit of how far those skills alone will allow
me to climb. Being an expert in my field of pharmaceutical benefits doesn't translate into managing
personnel just as knowing how to complete a task doesn't mean I'm able to give a clear
presentation on how it should be done. Sure, I've been rewarded for the work I've done and
knowledge I've obtained, but at some point, my employer will eventually see that more is needed to
continue to promote me to higher, more management focused positions. My goal is to complete these
courses and obtain my degree to prove that, if the situation arises, I can be the right person for the
job. A more personal goal of mine is to finish what I've started. After high school,

My College Experience
Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and
explain how college is supposed to be "the best experience of your life." The summer after my senior
year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had heard
people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully
understand what college was like until I experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at
Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges and
obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a

were all new problems that could have easily let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the

confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time
had come for me to grow up and become an adult even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately
began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These
factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I
learned how better manage my time, take advantage of campus resources and also how to organize
myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead
of taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my

Why I Want to Study Computer Science
From cartwheel to supercomputer the evolution of machines has always fascinated me like nothing
else. A machine– symbolizes man's rational thinking. On that account a computer is the most
ingenious invention of man. It exemplifies the prowess of human mind to perceive things rationally
and put them to use in performing extremely difficult tasks with effortless ease. With this kind of
attitude towards machines I was introduced to computers about what they can do and how they do
it. This was enough for me to decide that I was going to work with computers all my life.
The boundless possibility of trying out and the instant knowledge of the outcome that stimulates one
for further analysis of a rationale in question is what I find most appealing about Computer Science.
Keeping up an inquisitive and explorative attitude, I believe, leads to a constant learning process.
This approach adds to the already immense potential for innovation that exists in this field.
Exploration and analysis have been the essence of my life, guiding me through the most mystifying
predicaments. In this ever changing world of engineering & technology where each new day sees a
spate of new concepts and applications and each passing day makes them obsolete, I always wanted
to attain the highest level of excellence in education and transcend new horizons in the chosen field.
In my graduate studies, I have benefited from the breadth of JNTU syllabi content that has given me

Why I Chose Biology
Until I started high school, I had no idea what major I wanted to pursue in college. After all, there
are so many options, and even though some people know what they want to do from the time they

Drawing on Freudian and Attachment Theories assess the Relationship between early year's
experiences and criminality.
Psychological theories have attempted to explain the reasons for and how criminality occurs. The
psychoanalytic perspective involves two major theories – Freud's theory of the Sexual Stages of
Development and the Theory of Attachment purposed by Bowlby (1947). These theories conclude
that there is an association between the formation of personality in childhood and that of future
criminal behaviour. The Freudian theory of development suggests that we go through several stages

In addition, the majority of boys interviewed (93%) came from homes where there was lax parental
supervision and they were allowed to make their own decisions. Therefore, these findings suggest
that the attachment or bond between a child and their main care giver is important in the formation
of personality and the development of their moral beliefs.
This research also identifies how the parental use of punishment may be a cause of delinquency and
anti–social and criminal behaviour. However, later research was to show this conclusion to be
incorrect (e.g. Schuck, 1974). Later studies have infact indicated that parental permissiveness was a
cause of juvenile delinquency and aggression (Lipton, Martinson, and Wilks, 1975). This latter point
is a criticism of the Freudian approach to parenting skills. Freudian theorists argue that parents
should be permissive and allow children to work their way through problem situations without the
parent causing internal trauma in the child by being too strict in their expectations with their child.
The Freudian theory believes that healthy development will be encouraged through a warm
parent–child bond, whereby the child is helped through interactive talk to uncover and reveal the
unconscious conflicts that are inhibiting the child's progression. Therefore, Freudian theory suggests
that anti–social or criminal behaviour is heavily influenced by early year's experiences and the
child's ability to progress through the sexual

With today's changing world and the economy the way it is, it is not uncommon for people of all

Question # 2 Career Counseling can be beneficial to everyone that seeks employment. However,
when seeking advice and assistance on something as important as a career, people should know the
credentials of the counselor. Many individuals that pursue career counseling follow a variety of code
of ethics and ethical guidelines according to Brown (2007). With this being said, it is important that
career counseling practice should be regulated.
According to Porter, Gildon, & Zgliczynski (2000), people claiming to be counselors is a serious
problem in the state of California because no formal standards are set for appropriate licensure
except for that of a marriage counselor. This lack of standards and credentials causes many
problems for those seeking advice and assistance with a particular problem. More importantly, the
public is not protected even if they take a case to court and the "counselor" is found guilty. What is
to be taken away? He can continue to practice because he does not have a certificate to begin with.

  • 1. Plan for Success Tameka young Kaplan University Professor Dr. Todd Isaacson 4/6/2016 Everyone knows that after you complete your undergraduate studies, if you continue to further your education, you enroll in a Master 's program for your graduate studies. There are many unique differences between undergraduate and graduate programs. These differences consist of the subjects in which classes are taken, the sizes of the classrooms, and the length and quality of the papers. This paper will discuss these differences in detail. Graduate courses are often more along the lines of research topics, emphasizing on the gathering of information, making connections and analyzing. In a graduate program one must think critically and look for similarities between theories and applications. In undergraduate studies, the courses are broader in the fact that the classes are mostly general classes that can be less focused and less informative of those courses of graduate programs. Courses in graduate schools are more focused in detailed topics related to the field of study. The work is substantially more progressed, with the understudy in charge of meeting due dates while diving more profound into the exploration to discover new territories of thought and study to apply to issues. The most fundamental thing about graduate school is the subject examined can 't be changed as effortlessly as in undergraduate school. Undergraduate programs take into account the examination of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. The Between Undergrad And Grad Essay To someone who hasn't been through grad school, there isn't much difference between the undergrad and grad coursework. Yet this preconceived notion could be further from the truth. Without a doubt, the level of study for a graduate program is more rigorous and demanding than study involved at the undergrad level. I've discovered only others who are in or have completed grad school truly understand what it is like. Further insights on how the two levels of study differ can be found below. Reading. First, while undergrad courses require reading, it barely compares to the amount required at the graduate level. Grad school entails a tremendous amount of reading, ranging anywhere from 50–100 pages per week. And if you are taking multiple courses, be ready to multiply that figure. The only way to accomplish it all is to realize it is near impossible to read all the material cover to cover. Expectation that you don't read it all, but rather skim the articles and pull out main points. As a result I have learned a different way to approach reading articles and develop an understanding of the material. Reflection. Along with the extensive reading comes a high level of reflection of the material covered. Personally, I believe this is the paramount difference between undergrad and grad study. In undergrad you learn what you already know and for lack of a better word regurgitate the right answer on a test and move on. In contrast, in grad school you are searching for answers that are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Research Experience I have proactively engaged in research activity throughout my undergraduate program. I had my first research experience in Dr. B Anand's lab, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, during my second year. The aim of the project was to study the non–fluorescent beta–barrel structured proteins and engineer its amino acid sequence to make them into fluorescent ones. Our approach was mainly based upon the studies of Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) from a jellyfish Aequorea victoria. Tools like Python programming language, Gromacs, Ribosome, PROSS, and Pymol were used to study the structural components of non–fluorescent proteins. I gained invaluable...show more content... I was challenged with cloning ydeH gene into the pJT118 plasmids which are green light sensitive. The ydeH gene produces a protein named diguanylate cyclase, which induces the production of c–di–GMP in Rosetta strain. This project gave me an opportunity to participate and win silver at International Bio–molecular design competition (BIOMOD) 2012 held at Wyss Institute, Harvard University, USA. Most of the molecular genetic techniques were extensively used in my project. During this internship, apart from gaining deeper technical experience, I realized that I could work on a research problem with a certain degree of independence, figuring out right approaches and proposing useful experiments. I acquired more confidence in my aptitude for research and it has been boosted while working on my undergraduate projects. As a part of my undergraduate thesis, I worked on a project 'Extraction and analysis of beauvericin, a mycotoxin produced by Beauveria bassiana and its cytotoxic effects on the SF–21 (immortalized pupal ovarian cells isolated from Spodoptera frugiperda) cell line' under the guidance of Dr. Gurvinder Kaur Saini, IIT Guwahati. • 9. International Students Essay example Differences between American Students and International Students Most young people believe that studying in a different country is a privilege because they are able to experience other cultures, and learn from them. However, in the United States it is not as good as they thought because International students have much more pressure being in this country, and sometimes they cannot handle it very well. Therefore, in the United States the life of an international student is very unfavorable if people compare it to the life of an American student. International students have to learn a new language to study, they cannot work while studying, and their tuition is much more expensive. When people moves to the United Stated to study they...show more content... They know their structure and have a very superior vocabulary, so they can compose excellent essays. In addition, since American students speak English very well, they do not have any problem participating in class. They have confidence in themselves, so they will not be afraid of saying something wrong. Consequently, because American students do not have to learn any language to study their mayor, it is much easier for them to achieve excellent grades. Most university students feel the necessity of working since they would like to have their own money in order to be independent from their parents. It is not the exception for International students because they also feel the necessity of working to be independent from their parents or whoever is responsible for them. However, for international students to work in the United States it is very difficult because they are only allowed to work on campus. These kinds of jobs are very limited since some of the campuses in which they study are very small. Also for an international student to find a job on campus is difficult because people prefer to employee an American student who is not going to have any problem speaking the language. For example, last semester a friend from Venezuela who is studying at Miami Dade College decided that he wanted to get a job in order to have his own money. • 10. Examples Of Academic Reflection During the whole process of designing the IMC plan for HP Sprocket in this semester, I have earned valuable experience about teamwork, and I have learned lessons not only from class, but also from the whole working process. First of all, I have to admit that this group is one of the best groups I've ever had, I used to think that only failed experience helps people learn and grow. However, this time in a well–organised group, I found that I was wrong, positive experience contributes as well. This essay will reflect what I have learned, and it will be mainly divided into two parts: academic reflection and experiential reflection. Academic Reflection In an IMC plan, separate segment needs to cooperate with each other through organisational communications in order to ensure that audiences can receive a same key message from different channels (Ots and Nyilasy 2015, 134–135). Personally, I feel it is perfectly understandable as a first–time IMC practitioner. In this group work, because we do not have much time to discuss the "Big Idea" at the very beginning, we decided to divide the work first and then combine them together to find out the "Big Idea". However, I found that I cannot come up with useful strategies without effectively communicating with my teammates about our goal for this plan. After we have finished our first draft and uploaded it to Google Drive, we all agreed that this is a weak plan, because the messages we try to deliver in each piece do not have much in common. As Percy (2013, 2–3) pointed out, both the key and the goal of IMC planning are "to deliver a consistent message". This made me think we might be wrong at the aiming stage. In this scenario, assigning work without figuring out the requirement of an IMC plan is the problem of our group, and I need to learn that figuring out the main requirements and setting a clear goal are essential steps for innovative projects like an IMC plan. Because they can improve both individual's task performance and group's working efficiency (Hoegl and Parboteeah 2003, 4). There may have certain groups that can perform well without cooperating tightly, like a calculation group, but IMC group is definitely not one of them. Which reminds me that in the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Undergraduate Admission Essay Undergraduate Admissions Department of interest: Industrial design I'm drawn to design because it is everywhere and has the potential to affect so much of how people feel about a certain space or about an experience. From a young age, I was fortunate to be exposed to art; my parents would constantly take my brother and me to museums and galleries and at home, my grandmother would teach me skills such as crocheting, needlepoint and how to replicate food out of playdough. In both elementary school and middle school I drew and created little things such as bookmarks and stuffed animals, but I was never known as the "art kid". I loved art and I understood that there was so much potential to create something original and to express an idea, but I just didn't understand how. Early eighth grade I found out about...show more content... I ended up teaching myself Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop so I could make my assignments live up to the standard I had set for myself. Later that same year I got a chance to work with new materials and discovered an interest in sculpture. I enjoyed the process of learning the potential of different materials and the problem solving it takes to make what I had decided I am going to make. Where I had previously liked graphic design best, I realized that I found a different kind of satisfaction from physically creating an object. The final step that inspired my realization, was a communications class in which, one of the projects was to invent a product and create a print ad for it. While doing this project, it all clicked for me. I ended up creating way more material for the product than was required because I got sucked into the world that I created for it, fantasizing about packaging and display and consistent branding. It combined everything I liked: graphic design, new materials, 3D elements and for me all this pointed to industrial Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My Personal Goals as a Student Essay My Personal Goals as a Student An obvious goal as a working adult returning to school is, of course, to earn a degree. My overall goal is no different than any other student, however, I also have several personal goals I hope to achieve while attending the University. Some of these goals are to acquire new skills and enhance my current business abilities, to apply what I learn in the classroom to forward my career, and to feel personal satisfaction of finishing something I started. Already having experience in the business world has proven to me that it is essential to have skills to maintain and improve daily functions. Three skills I'd personally like to improve on are my organizational, time management, and presentation...show more content... By just going through the motions of coming to work everyday, only getting done what has to be done, and going home at the end of the day, one might realize that an everyday routine can quickly turn into a mundane professional life. At the same time, if a person does all of these things, but shows a bit of initiative to gain more knowledge of the job, they may see an opportunity to slightly move up in the company. The latter is my situation. My experience and knowledge of my department and its systems have afforded me the opportunity to move up within the department over the past five years, but I'm beginning to see a limit of how far those skills alone will allow me to climb. Being an expert in my field of pharmaceutical benefits doesn't translate into managing personnel just as knowing how to complete a task doesn't mean I'm able to give a clear presentation on how it should be done. Sure, I've been rewarded for the work I've done and knowledge I've obtained, but at some point, my employer will eventually see that more is needed to continue to promote me to higher, more management focused positions. My goal is to complete these courses and obtain my degree to prove that, if the situation arises, I can be the right person for the job. A more personal goal of mine is to finish what I've started. • 13. My College Experience Essay examples My College Experience Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and explain how college is supposed to be "the best experience of your life." The summer after my senior year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had heard people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully understand what college was like until I experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges and obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a sudden there was no one to get me out of...show more content... I can remember missing 8:05 classes because I stayed out too late the night before. In high school the teacher would constantly remind the students when certain assignments were due, but this was not the case in college. I learned that the hard way my first semester. Sometimes I forgot to turn in an assignment because I didn't properly read my syllabus and my professor never mentioned it. These were all new problems that could have easily let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the most part I was doing fairly well but a few of my grades began to plummet. I was losing the confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time had come for me to grow up and become an adult even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I learned how better manage my time, take advantage of campus resources and also how to organize myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead of taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my back is against the wall. Although I was unhappy while facing obstacles I am happy I experienced them. I believe this experience was the reason for my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Why I Want to Study Computer Science From cartwheel to supercomputer the evolution of machines has always fascinated me like nothing else. A machine– symbolizes man's rational thinking. On that account a computer is the most ingenious invention of man. It exemplifies the prowess of human mind to perceive things rationally and put them to use in performing extremely difficult tasks with effortless ease. With this kind of attitude towards machines I was introduced to computers about what they can do and how they do it. This was enough for me to decide that I was going to work with computers all my life. The boundless possibility of trying out and the instant knowledge of the outcome that stimulates one for further analysis of a rationale in question is what I find most appealing about Computer Science. Keeping up an inquisitive and explorative attitude, I believe, leads to a constant learning process. This approach adds to the already immense potential for innovation that exists in this field. Exploration and analysis have been the essence of my life, guiding me through the most mystifying predicaments. In this ever changing world of engineering & technology where each new day sees a spate of new concepts and applications and each passing day makes them obsolete, I always wanted to attain the highest level of excellence in education and transcend new horizons in the chosen field. In my graduate studies, I have benefited from the breadth of JNTU syllabi content that has given me a comprehensive Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Why I Chose Biology Until I started high school, I had no idea what major I wanted to pursue in college. After all, there are so many options, and even though some people know what they want to do from the time they are in elementary school, that was not my experience. Although I always had some ideas before entering ninth grade, I was still waiting to find something I really loved. During my freshman year, I finally found that thing–– biology. Before high school, I had never looked forward to a science class. The only reason I even took biology freshman year was because it seemed to be the lesser of two evils, the other being earth science. As it turned out, that biology class became the most pivotal course I took during my four years of high school, and was a major factor in my decision to choose biology as my major....show more content... Because genetic research is so new and so many possibilities for using this new technology are still being uncovered, I could have the ability to do major research in the area through my studies at Johns Hopkins. For example, although scientists know some of the uses of stemcells, they also know that there are many more things they can be used for that have not been found yet. I am hoping that by majoring in biology, I will have an opportunity to work in the field of genetics and do research that will save many Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Sample Undergraduate Psychology Essay SAMPLE UNDERGRADUATE PSYCHOLOGY ESSAY NB This is not a perfect essay. It was graded at 60% (A 2.1) and the bibliography is missing! Drawing on Freudian and Attachment Theories assess the Relationship between early year's experiences and criminality. Psychological theories have attempted to explain the reasons for and how criminality occurs. The psychoanalytic perspective involves two major theories – Freud's theory of the Sexual Stages of Development and the Theory of Attachment purposed by Bowlby (1947). These theories conclude that there is an association between the formation of personality in childhood and that of future criminal behaviour. The Freudian theory of development suggests that we go through several stages of development...show more content... In addition, the majority of boys interviewed (93%) came from homes where there was lax parental supervision and they were allowed to make their own decisions. Therefore, these findings suggest that the attachment or bond between a child and their main care giver is important in the formation of personality and the development of their moral beliefs. This research also identifies how the parental use of punishment may be a cause of delinquency and anti–social and criminal behaviour. However, later research was to show this conclusion to be incorrect (e.g. Schuck, 1974). Later studies have infact indicated that parental permissiveness was a cause of juvenile delinquency and aggression (Lipton, Martinson, and Wilks, 1975). This latter point is a criticism of the Freudian approach to parenting skills. Freudian theorists argue that parents should be permissive and allow children to work their way through problem situations without the parent causing internal trauma in the child by being too strict in their expectations with their child. The Freudian theory believes that healthy development will be encouraged through a warm parent–child bond, whereby the child is helped through interactive talk to uncover and reveal the unconscious conflicts that are inhibiting the child's progression. Therefore, Freudian theory suggests that anti–social or criminal behaviour is heavily influenced by early year's experiences and the child's ability to progress through the sexual Get more content on HelpWriting.net

In fact, two–thirds of students entering the college setting are classified non–traditional (Brown, 2007). Question # 2 Career Counseling can be beneficial to everyone that seeks employment. However, when seeking advice and assistance on something as important as a career, people should know the credentials of the counselor. Many individuals that pursue career counseling follow a variety of code of ethics and ethical guidelines according to Brown (2007). With this being said, it is important that career counseling practice should be regulated. According to Porter, Gildon, & Zgliczynski (2000), people claiming to be counselors is a serious problem in the state of California because no formal standards are set for appropriate licensure except for that of a marriage counselor. This lack of standards and credentials causes many problems for those seeking advice and assistance with a particular problem. More importantly, the public is not protected even if they take a case to court and the "counselor" is found guilty. What is to be taken away? He can continue to practice because he does not have a certificate to begin with. Lreh Get more content on HelpWriting.net
