Reflection About Childhood
Looking back, my childhood was something that I always enjoyed, and I was happy for every event
that took place in it. It was what formed me today, and I'm proud of who I have become. My
childhood consisted of the days I didn't have to worry about college, or how many hours of work I
was going to have to work this week. I was a very naive child, but as a child there are many things
that you don't need to worry about or think about. I always saw how hard my parents worked, to
see me smile, and see me happy. I appreciated how friendships take time to form and mean
something. As a child, I always just lived in the now. I never really thought to look into the future,
or worry about what I was even going to do the next day, I always just worried about what I was
going to do for the current day. Which, clueless about what I wanted to do with my life, or what I
wanted to be, but I enjoyed the simplicity of it. Life was simple, and as a child, I always just thought
I would go through life just living each day by each day. I never really looked forward or made any
long–term plans, though now that I'm older I indeed wished I had. As a child, everything was
straightforward. I would get up for school, go hang out with friends and play games! Then when I
went home, I would eat and probably watch some TV and then go to bed. The schooling was easy,

Early Childhood Education Essay examples
"Play is developmentally appropriate for primary–age children and can provide them with
opportunities that enrich the learning experience" (Copple & Bredekamp 2009). Early childhood
education holds two main focuses; a child–based focus and a family–based focus. Early childhood
education has positive outcomes on the child through their learning experiences, and their growth

Educators can facilitate the children with different materials and environments in the classrooms that
are in the early learning centres. The children need to develop their minds cognitively. "Children
actively construct knowledge as they manipulate and explore their world" (Berk 2007). Children are
needing to develop their abilities through their play experiences, and also through their play
experiences, they can develop appropriately. Early childhood education plays a large part in a child's
early development. Children develop cognition through two main stages that Jean Piaget theorized.
The stages run from birth and infancy to school age children. Sensorimotor is the first stage and
goes from birth to about the age of two. This stage implies that the children learn about the
environment they live in and they learn this through the reflexes and movements they produce.
They also learn that they are separate people from their parents and they can say goodbye to them
and know they will come back. The second stage is called the preoperational stage. During this stage
of development, children will learn how to incorporate symbols to represent objects. This is also the
beginning of learning the alphabet and speech. The child is still very much egocentric at this point in
time, but with the help of understanding educators, the child will grow appropriately onto the next
stages of development. Finally, the children need to develop emotionally/socially.

My Childhood Essay
In addition, I have never forgotten my singular neighborhood which saw me when I was born, my
first steps, my first words and so on. Hence, I had been living there for almost twenty years.
There, I grew up with my family and unique neighbors who sharing unforgettable memories. My
neighborhood was placed next to the principal port of my country, so everybody could get the
most fresh fish and seafood at markets. Close to my house living people who had jobs in the port

February is the hottest month of the year in my country, so since children to adults play this kind of
comic game outside homes watching who is "dry" and get "wet.
Finally, my first school during the elementary was one of the most important in my life. There, I met
many friends whom I still keep their friendship. I was six years old when I went at this female school,
so all of my friends were woman. Every class, I used to go late because my parents would work the
entire day every day; therefore, my grandmother after cook, she got to take me to at school. One
day when I was going to my school on bus, I saw in the same bus a black long hair girl also with her
grandmother and I remembered have seen her in my classroom. That day, after finishing the
class, I started to talk with that girl called "Vanessa". Coincidently, after a long talking, we
realized living close to each other. Therefore, I used to go her home to do homework or play
chequers. Sometimes, I came home from school with Vanessa and her grandmother when my
grandmother could not. Vanessa and I sang popular songs or telling jokes on the back way home.
As I met Vanessa, I talked with Sara, Giuliana and Emily also. We are five– girls, so we sat together
everyday that my parents talked with their parents, and if some of us were absent in the school, one

Leadership is a sociocultural construct underpinned by the beliefs and values of a society

For any obstacles they may encounter, through the contingency theory, an educational leader will

respond to various situations in times of change by critically reflecting on the purposes they see for
their setting and the goals they are aiming to achieve with children and families. Understanding from
the transformational theory, an educational leader will be inspiring others with visions that can
enable the team to be directed and motivated toward creating 'a culture of learning and professional
growth' (Duignan, 2006; Waniganayake et al., 2012; Sinclair, 2007; Rodd, 2006; Siraj–Blatchford
and Manni, 2006; ACECQA, 2013). Moreover, distributed leadership approach, which falls under
the transformational theory, is seen in the educational leader as they work collaboratively with

My aunt Mickey is pretending to be the Wicked Witch, and my mom is pretending to be Glinda. My
cousin Craig was the cowardly lion, and my Dad was the wizard and the tin man. My Grandma was
Toto, and my cousin Sharon was the munchkins. Dana, my cousin, was the scarecrow. I was
skipping around the house singing, and they were all playing their parts. I stood up to the wicked
witch, rescued the scarecrow, comforted the cowardly lion, and tapped my heels three times to go
home. As the only young child in my family at the time I was babied, and the center of attention.
The reason this video is so important to me is because of what it represents; my family when it
was whole. In the recent years my aunt Mickey has been diagnosed with Alzheimers and she no
longer remembers me. My cousin Sharon died from lymphoma, and my Grandmother passed
away. My cousin Dana was diagnosed with cancer and lost a large part of her arm, but due to a
family argument I haven't talked to Craig or Dana in almost two years. There are new children, and
new marriages that I don't hear about until months after. I no longer know these people, I only know
my memories of them.
My family is no longer together, and is no longer happy. As the most vital parts of our family

Childhood Memories Essay
When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I
would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never
seen before. My parents, my brother, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our small
gray minivan. Three of my most cherished memories in our minivan are when we went to Disney

Going to the beach was nothing like going to the lake or swimming pool. The ocean had large
waves that would come crashing into the beach. I was so small that the waves would just throw
me around. I also got to walk down the beach and find different objects that the waves had washed
up on shore. I found seashells that had brilliant colors like the rainbow. I even found a creature
that looked like pink jelly. I picked the creature up with a stick and took it to show my dad. My
dad told me that it was a jellyfish that could sting me, so he made me bury it in the sand. I saw
another creature that was gliding in shallow water. It was dark brown with a long tail and looked
like it had wings. It was a horrible looking creature that I had never seen before. My dad came
down to the water to see what I was looking at. He told me that they were called skates, and they
would not hurt me. That was the first time I saw something living in the ocean besides a fish. My
dad then showed me that there were little creatures called, sand fiddlers, which would wash up
when the waves crashed into the shore. We sat down on the sand so he could show me how to
catch them. The sand fiddlers would dig down in the sand fast as lightning, so we had to dig for
them fast as we could. When I caught one it felt like it was trying to dig into your hand with what

It was what formed me today, and I'm proud of who I have become. My childhood consisted of the days I didn't have to worry about college, or how many hours of work I was going to have to work this week. I was a very naive child, but as a child there are many things that you don't need to worry about or think about. I always saw how hard my parents worked, to see me smile, and see me happy. I appreciated how friendships take time to form and mean something. As a child, I always just lived in the now. I never really thought to look into the future, or worry about what I was even going to do the next day, I always just worried about what I was going to do for the current day. Which, clueless about what I wanted to do with my life, or what I wanted to be, but I enjoyed the simplicity of it. Life was simple, and as a child, I always just thought I would go through life just living each day by each day. I never really looked forward or made any long–term plans, though now that I'm older I indeed wished I had. As a child, everything was straightforward. I would get up for school, go hang out with friends and play games! Then when I went home, I would eat and probably watch some TV and then go to bed.
