My Core Values
As I have grown as an adult and moved further towards success in my life, I have always
maintained a guided structure to achieve goals and tasks that challenge me. I call these my "Core
Values". This is a strict regimen or a belief system that I have instilled into my everyday practice to
complete any task that presents itself. Although not perfected, I have found this method to be quite
successful. My work ethic, responsibility, and my drive to further my education and knowledge
have never failed me. Life can seem tough and demanding on a very consistent basis, but I believe
that I have cultivated a plan to accommodate and withstand any trial

To build responsibility as a child I volunteered to take care of my family dog. Even though she was
the family's pet I took it upon myself to make sure she was properly fed, watered, and walked. My
mother was very proud of my new development as an adolescent. She became very encouraging
and would come up with other special chores around the house that I could be relied upon to
handle. To some children this would seem like a punishment, but both of my parents were so
supportive and persuasive that I looked forward to having the gained accountability. My father
instituted honesty and respect as monuments for responsibility. I of course struggled at times
with taking care of my dog, and handling some of my other chores. But my father always wanted
me to not only be honest with my parents, but also with myself. He stated that a lie would not
benefit anybody and it was disrespectful to tell a lie. He would tell me that a liar was the same as
a cheater, and nobody liked either. If I knew how to respect others and be honest, than my
responsibility would only increase. I asked why I would want added responsibility and my father
told me two things that changed my perspective completely. First, it was that responsible people
always tended to be more successful. Since I had always dreamed of growing up to be rich and
famous, I guess I could accept the added responsibility. The second thing he told me was that one
day I could possibly

Divorce : The Ending Of A Marriage Essay
"Divorce 1. The ending of a marriage by a legal, 2. A complete separation between two things"
(merrriam–websters.com). Divorce is not a pleasing word to hear or to be heard relating to your
marriage. Unfortunately, my father, Michael Asuncion, had divorced my mother six years ago when
I was just twelve years old. To tell you the truth, this is something that I didn't understand until I got
older. But this is not about me. This is about my father and how the divorce with my mom affected
him, my brothers, and his future. My father was forty–nine years old six years ago. At this time in
his life he is still raising his three children, my brothers and I, subtly and very well. But life decided
to take a turn. My parents got a divorce due to an affair through my mother. My father the divorce
wasn't entirely my mothers' fault though. He came out saying that one of the big issues was their
lack of communication. Before years prior to the divorce, he would sometimes go to a coffee
shop with some of his friends and hangout there after work for about an hour. He says that did
some damage to the relationship and their connection but he can't blame it all on him either. My
mother was at least going to the bar three times a week he says. Thinking back on it, going to the
bar three times a week is a bit of a problem. She was never around with me, my brothers, and my
father. She was showing an act of selfishness by being at the bar, spending time with her friends,
treating them better

Ending-Personal Narrative
Endings are funny things. End of a book, end of a movie, end of school year. We have already
ended the first month of the new year and are almost done with the second. As old things have
ended and new ones have begun, I personally have been thinking quite about all of those events.
The classes I've taken, the people I've met, and the people I've lost. Last year in particular was a
tough one because I lost someone very close to me. A friend. In this article, I want to share my
story and then tell you what I did to get through it. And share with you that you can do it, too.
Last year, a very close friend of mine and I lost contact. Anything that we may have shared before
seemed to disappear and we are now no longer friends. To be completely honest, it sucked at first.
It was one of the most difficult things I had to go through because this person was like a sibling
to me. But it has been a year and I have had plenty of time to reflect. In this reflection, I have
realized that even though it was hard, it was good for me. It was something that needed to
happen, so I could move on and grow up and start a new chapter. I have learned so much more
about myself and what I want and how I want to live my life than I ever could have when being
friends with this person. And I am here to tell you that in every crappy situation you experience in
life, something good will come out of it. It is...show more content...
My reason is that it is God's plan for me and I have no control. Your reason may be different, but
there is a reason. Don't let something, like losing a close friend, pull you down and destroy you.
Especially when it comes to other people who are trying to pull you down, too. You are so much
stronger than you know, you just have to find that strength. Chances are that after you get through
whatever it is, something even better will be waiting for you. Never give up. Never stop pushing
through. It will be worth it when it is

Margaret Atwood's Happy Endings '
"Happy Endings," written and narrated by Margaret Atwood, takes the appearance of a story
where the reader chooses the ending. The short story includes six possible endings for when the
characters, John and Mary, meet. However, each ending reverts to A which ends with death.
Atwood uses second person point of view to point out the theme of the story. Moreover, the
second person point of view helps exemplify the theme that no matter what one achieves or
endures throughout life, life will always result in death by the narrator showing all the stories go
back to story A no matter what variables in life, speaking directly to the reader, and explaining
directly how the stories relate. Whatever one's life situation is or whom one marries, the end
always results in death. Ending A is a life boxed up in perfection for John and Mary; good house,
good children, and good life. However, the ending does not end in perfection, "[e]ventually they die"
(310). Endings B and C contain imperfect lives for John and Mary. Both characters endure hardships
that drive them to make awful decisions. Within ending B, "John marries Madge..." after Mary
commits suicide, "...and everything continues as in A" (311). Because John kills Mary, her...show

The narrator addresses the audience to explain that all stories end the same, even if the story has a
"happy ending," with death. She directly states, "[y]ou'll have to face it, the endings are the same
however you slice it" (312). Atwood comes right out and directly tells the reader the point of her
short story. She also tells her reader to "...[not] be deluded by any other endings, they're all fake...or
just motivated by excessive optimism" (312). The repetition that "John and Mary die. John and
Mary die. John and Mary die" illustrates the point that the truth of all stories is that death will always
be the ending

How to End a Relationship... Essay
Relationships is a step that two people take since they connected in a romantic way. For some, it
might seem far away, but others can't wait for it to end. Some signs to know you're on a failed
relationship could be lack of respect, no time for each other, can't find common ground, tired of
the same routine and bickering and fighting. Those were some signs that some can be solved but
mostly is of a failed relationship. Ending a relationship isn't as simple as it looks, since there was
love or some wouldn't admit it but at least they cared for each other. One of the reasons you might
be reading this is because you want some guidance or advice, and that's why we recommend you
keep reading.
If you're still considering your relationship and...show more content...
Try not to be cruel, be honest, don't say things that might confuse or hurt like bringing back the
past or the reasons why you want to end it. Be prepared for any reaction, the dumped can react
since he or she didn't see it coming. You should try to be comforting but not too attach but also
don't just storm out of there. For both of you to have a chance to move on, you should avoid each
other and if you have each other's thing try to sort it out so you both won't have an argument. The
best lesson of a failed relationship is to learn from it and don't let it repeat it. Also know when to
walk away, why be bickering about a lost cause. After the break up don't try to stay friends, you
wanted to end it for a reason so why go back when you can keep moving forward. Take some time
for yourself since not everyone understands that the one who broke up is also in pain as the one
who was dumped. Because you're the one taking "the bullet" and it's true since you might feel guilt
and even though you want to go and party to try to feel alive and free of everything, it's better to go
to places you feel comfortable.
Just because you got off the horse doesn't mean you need to get back up after the break up. Since
both of you took time apart it helps with the healing process. Don't try to start dating quickly,
remember "if it's meant to be, it's meant to be". Now that you're single you should change things
like a new look or set new goals and be happy. Don't be stuck in the past

Surprise Ending: A Modest Proposal
Surprise Ending A surprise ending gets defines as a twist in a story near or at the end of a story
that causes one to the evaluation of the motive and characters by the audience. Surprise endings
are also known a plot twist. Writers and television programs directors use the style as the way of
arousing curiosity in the reader or television audience. The use of false main characters in a film
that is later killed off in movie is a good example of a surprise ending (Phelan, 2013). I am going
to examine the use of surprise ending in the writing by Jonathan Swift "A Modest Proposal for
preventing the children of poor people in Ireland, from being a burden on their parents or country,
and for making them beneficial to the public (1729)".Swift talks

Short Story Happy Ending
The short story "Happy Ending" is an example of fiction which provides great storytelling. The
short story gives six different versions on how and what happy endings mean .First I will compare
several versions of each plot. Then I will discuss how these plots have an effect on the couples.
Finally I'll address the how's and why's we define happy endings. With different versions comes with
great beginnings and end with the same ending. You have the same characters shown in several
different scenarios which leads to question how do you want your happiness to end. Each character
eventually parish with one thing in common Love. . It provides a layout of relationships,
marriages, and lust between couples. The short stories provide a visual of happy endings between
the two sexes. It gives you a stereotype of both men and woman to engage readers towards both
points of views. I noticed in the first plot Margaret uses the word stimulating and challenging several
time in this passage. When reading at first I thought this is definitely me the happy life in my eyes.
After taking another look the phrase really means boring to the point that we don't realize how
uninvited we both are in the marriage. Couple A may indeed be happy, however their happiness
doesn't reflect well in the passage. They enjoy their career, start a family, but the spark in their
marriage is gone. Unlike situation A Mary is trying to have relationship with John however, he only
sees her as a sex slave.

The End Of A Doll 's House
At the end of A Doll 's House, Isben surprises the audience. When Torvald learns that Krogstad is
no longer threatening him, he offers to forgive Nora. Most people in the audience would expect
the ending to be happy and for the family to live its life as it did before. Shockingly, Nora tells
Torvald that she plans on leaving him and their children. She realizes that her life has not been
happy and that Torvald does not really love her. Nora has many motivations for leaving Torvald.
She feels that she has been treated like a doll her whole life, and does not like being treated that
way. She also decides to leave when she finds out how upset Torvald was with her. She feels as if
he would not defend her. Nora also knows that Torvald will not forget what happened, and he will
hold it against her for the rest of her life. When Nora decides to leave Torvald at the end of A Doll
's House, many readers seemed shocked that she would do such a thing, but she has many
motivations that can be seen throughout the play. As Nora is leaving, she tells Torvald that she
has been treated like a doll her whole life. Her father treated her like a doll, and Torvald treats her
like a doll. He always seems to baby her and call her his "skylark". Nora tells him that in the eight
years that they have been married that they never once have had a serious conversation. A
relationship can not be very successful without serious conversations. It is almost as if there is no
meaning to the relationship

Personal Statement On The Ending Of A Friendship
Introduction The band, Semisonic once sang in their hit song "Closing Time", "Every new
beginning comes from some other beginning's end". I was lucky to stumble upon this lyric as I
began writing my relationship analysis paper on the ending of a friendship because it helped me
realize that just because this friendship may have failed, I've learned so much from it and I've
learned what being a friend truly is. I have gotten to experience new beginnings from the ending of
the one I had with Julie and have been able to grow from it. During my sophomore year of high
school, I struggled with finding my identity. Was I the druggy, the goody two shoes, the athletic
one? I had no idea. In math class one day a girl reached out to me though, and I thought I was
finally going to find my identity. But, to my dismay I learned that my identity was not going to be
found in Julie, I would have to find and create it myself. In this paper I will be analyzing my
friendship with Julie using Knapp's Stages of Relational Development and I will also be applying
two concepts, similarity and self–disclosure to the relationship from the book, Understanding
Human Communication.
Part 1: Case Analysis As I said earlier, I struggled with finding my identity and my close niche of
friends during the beginning my sophomore year of high school. In my algebra class I finally made
a friend I thought who could, possibly become my best friend. Julie and I had been acquaintances
for a while. We went to middle

Ending Tutoring Sessions
Tips for Ending Tutoring Sessions
The best practice for ending a tutorial effectively and punctually begins as soon as the student sits
down. It is important that we discuss our tutoring plan with the student. Often out inclination is to
just jump right in, and that's great. We're excited! However, this often creates a space for incomplete
tutorials.
After you have asked the student about his/her assignment, work with him/her to identify specific
concerns and develop an action plan. Explain exactly what the process is going to look like. For
example, "Keep in mind this is a 45 minute session, so I want to look at the big picture stuff. You
mentioned that you are worried about your thesis and your MLA format. I am going to really
focus on those areas, but I am also going to look for ways to improve your topic sentences and
your transitions. Right now, I am going to read through your paper considering these areas, and
then we will discuss your strengths as well as areas that you can polish. Remember you can
always come back after you address anything we find here and have a tutor look at more localized
concerns on your next. When we're finished, let's take a couple minutes to review what we...show

When we are having fun with a student and making progress, 45 minutes passes quickly. It is our
job to make sure that we are structuring the session in a time effective manner.
We should reserve the last five to ten minutes of tutoring sessions for conclusion. The conclusion
period is a vital part of the learning process because it provides an opportunity for students to digest
concepts and strategies introduced during the session. A reciprocal educational approach, where the
tutor and student reverse roles, is often helpful during this process. Here are some example prompts
tutors can use to help students take ownership of concepts discussed in tutoring sessions:

Years previous, he sailed to Egypt to find the best ivory; he joined caravans of jewel sellers to pick

Hereupon, Pendragon pulled out several coins imprinted with the head of Philip the second and

"I haven't seen coins like these very often since King Philip died."
"When was that?"
"Eight years ago, where have you been that the passing of the king of Macedon is such news to you?"

The barber went about his work with a look of puzzlement at Pendragon. He proceeded to fill

Easing Out the Ending of, A Doll's House Essay
Groundbreaking themes were presented in Henrik Ibsen's play, A Doll's House. The play has
shared an important message regarding feminism. It was released in the 1800's, during time when
women were not taken seriously. This has made the work essential for humanity to observe and
respond to. One of the most important aspects of Ibsen's play was the end, in which the main
character, Nora Helmer leaves her husband. This was a shocking scene for unprepared audiences in
theaters throughout the world. Divorce and separation from one's spouse and children was not
proper to discuss in public because it was not looked highly on. Critics and others who study the
play wonder if the ending was too bold for the time. While it was important to...show more content...

and she has in a way become both wife and child to him. So you shall be for me after this, my

only ever be perceived as weak, so it was imperative that she left. It would have also been very
powerful if the ending was written so that Nora could be able to find her true self and value as a
human and eventually go back to raising her kids. It would have been interesting if Nora left
exactly when and how Ibsen had originally wrote it, but the play does reach it's extent there. The
start of a different ending could have took place after Nora leaves her home, feeling empowered
and vivacious. She doesn't have much of a plan, but for the first time she is truly compelled. She
stays with Christina for a short while, reading and writing letters to legislators concerning her
opinions on legal matters. She almost has given up on the idea of romantic love when she thinks

his character states in the actual drama, " you can command me, body and soul," (471). Nora

Ending a relationship is never an easy thing to do, nor is it an easy situation to be in. When we
realize that some relationships, (whether it's a relationship with a friend or a partner) is not working
out in our favor, this is the time for our relationship to come to a close. To end a relationship we
need to do so with no regrets and no hesitation. We need to end this connection without hate for one
another.
Often times when we try to end a relationship, we end up causing more damage than what we mean
to. We often cause pain of conflict in the other person's lives even though we don't intend to do so.
This can sometimes never be avoided but here are some easy steps to start out with ending a
relationship in a more simpler and better way.
When ending a relationship you want to start by being alone, away from distractions and in a quiet
place. This will give the situation more clarity and be taken more seriously. After doing so you want
to start calmly, but also proudly. Don't...show more content...
First, we should be calm, don't panic. Also don't hesitate to state what you are feeling but also don't
be too harsh. Remember, this is going to be a hard accepting process for them. Secondly, don't
procrastinate on opening up to the other person, this will only cause more pain to occur in the end.
Third, just be honest with them, they will understand the situation a lot more if you explain your
point of view. This will also help them with the coping process. Lastly, Have compassion for the
other person as they are going through this time in their life, you never know what they may be
thinking or feeling at this time.
Now you have what it takes to end a relationship of your own. Remember all the steps and also don't
forget that the other person is only human, they have feelings too. When ending a relationship you
must be brave, have compassion, be proud and lastly, reassure yourself why you are doing this, what

for the crowd to quiet their rampant exuberance, so that the unknown sound could be heard more

complete chaos. Everybody and everything was out of order. When the wave of painful memories
hit, the people dropped to the floor and held their heads in excruciating pain. We should have thought
this through more carefully Jonas. I would never have believed that such anarchy could become in
such a peaceful community. But the memories were too harsh. Riots were started. Fires burnt down
the buildings. Some jumped into the river and died just...show more content...

He just had to give Jonas some time, so he walked into the kitchen and got some food for Jonas
and Gabriel. Jonas was sitting on the couch, frazzled when the Giver walked in with a platter of
apple slices, two cups of water, and a small bowl of tiny cookies for Gabriel. Gabriel still hasn't
moved at all. Not one bit, but Jonas was too preoccupied hating himself for what he had done. For
what he had done to his friends and a whole community. "Has Gabriel moved?" The Giver asked.
Jonas sat motionless, staring into space. "Jonas?!" The Giver

Romeo And Juliet Ending Essay
Romeo and Juliet both played a part in their ending but they were not the only people who helped
turn the romance into tragedy. The two characters, although being enemies, decided to be
together. Although they did not know their story would end up at the level of tragedy that it did,
they knew the story would not have a happy ending. "An glooming peace this morning with it
brings. The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head. Go hence, to have more talk of these sad
things. Some shall be pardoned and some punished. For never was an story of more woe. Than this
of Juliet and her Romeo." (Act 5 Scene 3, Page 256) This quote shows the lasting effects and the
level of tragedy these two caused with their love. The town that had been separated for...show more

Friar Laurence played a huge part in the ending of this story. Friar is introduced in the story by
romeo when he goes to the wise man for help with Juliet. Friar tells Romeo "Go wisely and
slowly. Those who rush stumble and fall." Friar says this to romeo after he comes to Friar, asking
him to marry him and his love, juliet, whom he met the night before at a party. Friar knows
Romeo is acting foolishly but he has an inkling that the marriage may help the two families heal.
He does in fact marry them, knowing it is wrong. He then proceeds to give Juliet an sedative and
an plan to get out of marrying Paris. Juliet is to take the sedative and Friar is to send a message to
Romeo that he must come save her. The message gets stuck and it sends the story into an
spiraling downfall. After Juliet and Romeo's bodies are found, dead by suicide, Friar was left
with a lot of explaining to do. Friar played a tremendous role in the conclusion of the young kids
lives. The notorious question: Was the ending of Romeo and Juliet decided by fate, with the stars
perfectly aligned against the two, coming to an unexpected end? Or was it decided by the
characters and their choices? There are many examples of how all of the characters choices came
together in the end to form a butterfly effect. The main characters in this story sadly caused their
own romance to turn

  • 1. Essay about My Core Values Tamneicha Mcdavid Prof.Beck ENC 1101 July 30, 2009 Example Essay My Core Values As I have grown as an adult and moved further towards success in my life, I have always maintained a guided structure to achieve goals and tasks that challenge me. I call these my "Core Values". This is a strict regimen or a belief system that I have instilled into my everyday practice to complete any task that presents itself. Although not perfected, I have found this method to be quite successful. My work ethic, responsibility, and my drive to further my education and knowledge have never failed me. Life can seem tough and demanding on a very consistent basis, but I believe that I have cultivated a plan to accommodate and withstand any trial The first...show more content... To build responsibility as a child I volunteered to take care of my family dog. Even though she was the family's pet I took it upon myself to make sure she was properly fed, watered, and walked. My mother was very proud of my new development as an adolescent. She became very encouraging and would come up with other special chores around the house that I could be relied upon to handle. To some children this would seem like a punishment, but both of my parents were so supportive and persuasive that I looked forward to having the gained accountability. My father instituted honesty and respect as monuments for responsibility. I of course struggled at times with taking care of my dog, and handling some of my other chores. But my father always wanted me to not only be honest with my parents, but also with myself. He stated that a lie would not benefit anybody and it was disrespectful to tell a lie. He would tell me that a liar was the same as a cheater, and nobody liked either. If I knew how to respect others and be honest, than my responsibility would only increase. I asked why I would want added responsibility and my father told me two things that changed my perspective completely. First, it was that responsible people always tended to be more successful. Since I had always dreamed of growing up to be rich and famous, I guess I could accept the added responsibility. The second thing he told me was that one day I could possibly Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Divorce : The Ending Of A Marriage Essay "Divorce 1. The ending of a marriage by a legal, 2. A complete separation between two things" (merrriam–websters.com). Divorce is not a pleasing word to hear or to be heard relating to your marriage. Unfortunately, my father, Michael Asuncion, had divorced my mother six years ago when I was just twelve years old. To tell you the truth, this is something that I didn't understand until I got older. But this is not about me. This is about my father and how the divorce with my mom affected him, my brothers, and his future. My father was forty–nine years old six years ago. At this time in his life he is still raising his three children, my brothers and I, subtly and very well. But life decided to take a turn. My parents got a divorce due to an affair through my mother. My father the divorce wasn't entirely my mothers' fault though. He came out saying that one of the big issues was their lack of communication. Before years prior to the divorce, he would sometimes go to a coffee shop with some of his friends and hangout there after work for about an hour. He says that did some damage to the relationship and their connection but he can't blame it all on him either. My mother was at least going to the bar three times a week he says. Thinking back on it, going to the bar three times a week is a bit of a problem. She was never around with me, my brothers, and my father. She was showing an act of selfishness by being at the bar, spending time with her friends, treating them better Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 4. Ending-Personal Narrative Endings are funny things. End of a book, end of a movie, end of school year. We have already ended the first month of the new year and are almost done with the second. As old things have ended and new ones have begun, I personally have been thinking quite about all of those events. The classes I've taken, the people I've met, and the people I've lost. Last year in particular was a tough one because I lost someone very close to me. A friend. In this article, I want to share my story and then tell you what I did to get through it. And share with you that you can do it, too. Last year, a very close friend of mine and I lost contact. Anything that we may have shared before seemed to disappear and we are now no longer friends. To be completely honest, it sucked at first. It was one of the most difficult things I had to go through because this person was like a sibling to me. But it has been a year and I have had plenty of time to reflect. In this reflection, I have realized that even though it was hard, it was good for me. It was something that needed to happen, so I could move on and grow up and start a new chapter. I have learned so much more about myself and what I want and how I want to live my life than I ever could have when being friends with this person. And I am here to tell you that in every crappy situation you experience in life, something good will come out of it. It is...show more content... • 5. Margaret Atwood's Happy Endings ' "Happy Endings," written and narrated by Margaret Atwood, takes the appearance of a story where the reader chooses the ending. The short story includes six possible endings for when the characters, John and Mary, meet. However, each ending reverts to A which ends with death. Atwood uses second person point of view to point out the theme of the story. Moreover, the second person point of view helps exemplify the theme that no matter what one achieves or endures throughout life, life will always result in death by the narrator showing all the stories go back to story A no matter what variables in life, speaking directly to the reader, and explaining directly how the stories relate. Whatever one's life situation is or whom one marries, the end always results in death. Ending A is a life boxed up in perfection for John and Mary; good house, good children, and good life. However, the ending does not end in perfection, "[e]ventually they die" (310). Endings B and C contain imperfect lives for John and Mary. Both characters endure hardships that drive them to make awful decisions. Within ending B, "John marries Madge..." after Mary commits suicide, "...and everything continues as in A" (311). Because John kills Mary, her...show more content... The narrator addresses the audience to explain that all stories end the same, even if the story has a "happy ending," with death. She directly states, "[y]ou'll have to face it, the endings are the same however you slice it" (312). Atwood comes right out and directly tells the reader the point of her short story. She also tells her reader to "...[not] be deluded by any other endings, they're all fake...or just motivated by excessive optimism" (312). The repetition that "John and Mary die. John and Mary die. John and Mary die" illustrates the point that the truth of all stories is that death will always be the ending Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. How to End a Relationship... Essay Relationships is a step that two people take since they connected in a romantic way. For some, it might seem far away, but others can't wait for it to end. Some signs to know you're on a failed relationship could be lack of respect, no time for each other, can't find common ground, tired of the same routine and bickering and fighting. Those were some signs that some can be solved but mostly is of a failed relationship. Ending a relationship isn't as simple as it looks, since there was love or some wouldn't admit it but at least they cared for each other. If you're still considering your relationship and...show more content... Try not to be cruel, be honest, don't say things that might confuse or hurt like bringing back the past or the reasons why you want to end it. Be prepared for any reaction, the dumped can react since he or she didn't see it coming. You should try to be comforting but not too attach but also don't just storm out of there. For both of you to have a chance to move on, you should avoid each other and if you have each other's thing try to sort it out so you both won't have an argument. The best lesson of a failed relationship is to learn from it and don't let it repeat it. Also know when to walk away, why be bickering about a lost cause. After the break up don't try to stay friends, you wanted to end it for a reason so why go back when you can keep moving forward. Take some time for yourself since not everyone understands that the one who broke up is also in pain as the one who was dumped. Because you're the one taking "the bullet" and it's true since you might feel guilt and even though you want to go and party to try to feel alive and free of everything, it's better to go to places you feel comfortable. Just because you got off the horse doesn't mean you need to get back up after the break up. Since both of you took time apart it helps with the healing process. Don't try to start dating quickly, remember "if it's meant to be, it's meant to be". Now that you're single you should change things like a new look or set new goals and be happy. Surprise endings are also known a plot twist. Writers and television programs directors use the style as the way of arousing curiosity in the reader or television audience. The use of false main characters in a film that is later killed off in movie is a good example of a surprise ending (Phelan, 2013). Finally I'll address the how's and why's we define happy endings. With different versions comes with great beginnings and end with the same ending. You have the same characters shown in several different scenarios which leads to question how do you want your happiness to end. Each character eventually parish with one thing in common Love. . It provides a layout of relationships, marriages, and lust between couples. The short stories provide a visual of happy endings between the two sexes. It gives you a stereotype of both men and woman to engage readers towards both points of views. I noticed in the first plot Margaret uses the word stimulating and challenging several time in this passage. When reading at first I thought this is definitely me the happy life in my eyes. After taking another look the phrase really means boring to the point that we don't realize how uninvited we both are in the marriage. Couple A may indeed be happy, however their happiness doesn't reflect well in the passage. They enjoy their career, start a family, but the spark in their marriage is gone. When Nora decides to leave Torvald at the end of A Doll 's House, many readers seemed shocked that she would do such a thing, but she has many motivations that can be seen throughout the play. As Nora is leaving, she tells Torvald that she has been treated like a doll her whole life. Her father treated her like a doll, and Torvald treats her like a doll. He always seems to baby her and call her his "skylark". Nora tells him that in the eight years that they have been married that they never once have had a serious conversation. A relationship can not be very successful without serious conversations. It is almost as if there is no meaning to the relationship Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Personal Statement On The Ending Of A Friendship Introduction The band, Semisonic once sang in their hit song "Closing Time", "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end". I was lucky to stumble upon this lyric as I began writing my relationship analysis paper on the ending of a friendship because it helped me realize that just because this friendship may have failed, I've learned so much from it and I've learned what being a friend truly is. I have gotten to experience new beginnings from the ending of the one I had with Julie and have been able to grow from it. During my sophomore year of high school, I struggled with finding my identity. Was I the druggy, the goody two shoes, the athletic one? I had no idea. In math class one day a girl reached out to me though, and I thought I was finally going to find my identity. But, to my dismay I learned that my identity was not going to be found in Julie, I would have to find and create it myself. In this paper I will be analyzing my friendship with Julie using Knapp's Stages of Relational Development and I will also be applying two concepts, similarity and self–disclosure to the relationship from the book, Understanding Human Communication. Part 1: Case Analysis As I said earlier, I struggled with finding my identity and my close niche of friends during the beginning my sophomore year of high school. In my algebra class I finally made a friend I thought who could, possibly become my best friend. Julie and I had been acquaintances for a while. We went to middle Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is important that we discuss our tutoring plan with the student. Often out inclination is to just jump right in, and that's great. We're excited! However, this often creates a space for incomplete tutorials. After you have asked the student about his/her assignment, work with him/her to identify specific concerns and develop an action plan. Explain exactly what the process is going to look like. For example, "Keep in mind this is a 45 minute session, so I want to look at the big picture stuff. You mentioned that you are worried about your thesis and your MLA format. I am going to really focus on those areas, but I am also going to look for ways to improve your topic sentences and your transitions. Right now, I am going to read through your paper considering these areas, and then we will discuss your strengths as well as areas that you can polish. Remember you can always come back after you address anything we find here and have a tutor look at more localized concerns on your next. It is our job to make sure that we are structuring the session in a time effective manner. We should reserve the last five to ten minutes of tutoring sessions for conclusion. The conclusion period is a vital part of the learning process because it provides an opportunity for students to digest concepts and strategies introduced during the session. A reciprocal educational approach, where the tutor and student reverse roles, is often helpful during this process. Here are some example prompts tutors can use to help students take ownership of concepts discussed in tutoring sessions: 1. As the subdued clink of metal on metal reverberated through the room, a single sliver of ivory fell from the masterpiece. Surveying the now finished harp, Pendragon let a satisfied sigh escape his lips. Like a horse who has pulled loads for a lifetime and has finally been brought to the paddock, contentment settled over him. Years previous, he sailed to Egypt to find the best ivory; he joined caravans of jewel sellers to pick out the finest pieces; he travelled to the gold mines of Persia to purchase the purest ore. All he brought back to Macedonia, after months of travel and little rest. Shut up in the house of his father, who had recently departed this world, he began...show more content... Hereupon, Pendragon pulled out several coins imprinted with the head of Philip the second and handed them to the barber. "I haven't seen coins like these very often since King Philip died." "When was that?" "Eight years ago, where have you been that the passing of the king of Macedon is such news to you?" "Oh, well, I've just been on a small hermitage, I guess." The barber went about his work with a look of puzzlement at Pendragon. He proceeded to fill Pendragon in on the details of Alexander's ascension and his conquests. But even Alexander had since passed, and his generals had divided his kingdom. Pendragon listened in awe. Had so much really passed without his knowledge? "But tell me, good barber, what is the state of the arts?" "The arts? Nobody cares about the arts anymore." "Oh, sir! Surely that cannot be. The arts are the greatest achievements of

  • 16. Easing Out the Ending of, A Doll's House Essay Groundbreaking themes were presented in Henrik Ibsen's play, A Doll's House. The play has shared an important message regarding feminism. It was released in the 1800's, during time when women were not taken seriously. This has made the work essential for humanity to observe and respond to. One of the most important aspects of Ibsen's play was the end, in which the main character, Nora Helmer leaves her husband. This was a shocking scene for unprepared audiences in theaters throughout the world. Divorce and separation from one's spouse and children was not proper to discuss in public because it was not looked highly on. Critics and others who study the play wonder if the ending was too bold for the time. While it was important to...show more content... So you shall be for me after this, my little scared, helpless darling" (490). If Nora stayed with her chauvinistic husband she would only ever be perceived as weak, so it was imperative that she left. It would have also been very powerful if the ending was written so that Nora could be able to find her true self and value as a human and eventually go back to raising her kids. It would have been interesting if Nora left exactly when and how Ibsen had originally wrote it, but the play does reach it's extent there. The start of a different ending could have took place after Nora leaves her home, feeling empowered and vivacious. She doesn't have much of a plan, but for the first time she is truly compelled. She stays with Christina for a short while, reading and writing letters to legislators concerning her opinions on legal matters. She almost has given up on the idea of romantic love when she thinks of Dr. Rank, dying alone. She remembers their strong connection and how she could tell him anything. He was the only man she knew that would have wonderfully done anything for her, as his character states in the actual drama, " you can command me, body and soul," (471). Nora proceeds to find him and does! His health is not as bad as she has expected. He said he went into seclusion before his body started to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

With eyes red and ferocity swelling up in his body, the valiant youth shouted, "My fellow citizens! Hear now, the bellow of another tiger behind the second gate!" At this, the crowd gasped in disbelief and mocked the injustice the king showed toward his victim. Then, the embarrassed ruler turned his head toward his right and saw the streams of tears flowing from the eyes of his daughter as she glared at him and ran down the steps of the stadium toward her once–again lover. With outstretched arms, the young lovers embraced and kissed one another as the crowd once again shouted with joy from their seats.
