• 1984 Hicks joined with Robert Haas to form Hicks
& Haas, a multi billion dollar firm
• They split up in 1989, and Hicks co-founded Hicks,
Muse, Tate, and Furst. A firm that raised
$250million with investments in life insurance.
• Hicks & Muse separated and formed own firm in
1991, which Hicks served as chairman from 1991-
2004.
• Hicks & Muse shut down in 2004 so Hicks could
spend more time with his family and focus on his
sports teams
