can be ascertained by analysing the music video in detail.
Mise– en– scene of the music video looks at the props, costumes, hair and makeup, location, colour
and lighting. These elements will determine the type of music video.
Lighting and colour
The lighting in a music video can create different emotions and views and allows the audience to be
able to identify the type of genre, for expel, rock music videos lighting tend to be dark and gloomy,
while pop music videos are usually well light, bright and vibrant. Lighting is important as it sets the
mood of the music video, it also enhances the artist. Bright lighting draws the audience ... Show

The costume is also important because it has an influence on what is popular and mainstream as
well as what the audiences will dress like. Pop music videos, the artists are clothed in mainstream,
fashionable clothes or clothing labels. The artists in pop music videos usually wear what is popular
at the time and the target audience are usually able to relate. Costumes also depend on the artist and
their image, for example when you hear about lady gaga, you think about extravagant clothing, on
the other hand, Nicki Minaj is known for being a bit over the top in how she appears but she
generally wears mainstream popular clothing. In Anaconda this is clearly seen when Nicki Minaj is
seen clothed in Balmain and Alexandra Mcqueen which is reflective of the lyrics and the narrative
of the music video these names appeal to the viewers as they are designer names. Ncki Minaj is also
seen as a Barbie doll with long lashes, known for wearing bright colours, especially when it come to
her hair, this makes her identifiable, cause as soon as you see the artist your able to know who the

You know, and it really is hard. It's not easy. I gained a lot of weight and I have a lot to lose so you
know I definitely feel good to a place where you know I'm comfortable again and things are starting
to fit."
Kim went on the Atkins diet after she gave birth to her first child, North West and that seemed to
work well for her.
I think this time, more weight has come off quicker than last time because I kind of learned how to
eat better. Last time, I worked out a little bit harder. This time I'm eating differently. So I'm doing the
Atkins diet and it's just like, I'm so militant about it that I just started working out really hard and I
think that the mix of the two will help this last 20 pounds, hopefully, you know, fly off. I'm praying."
Kim Kardashian West went to the Hakkasan nightclub to host the venue's third anniversary party.
Although her friends drank alcohol, Kim did not consume any because of the calories in liqueur.

Dawn Fraser Research Paper
Dawn Fraser was a brilliant swimmer, one of the most dominant in the world during the 1950s and
60s. She was the first ever to win the same event at three consecutive Olympics. She was the first
female to swim 100m freestyle in less than a minute, and later set an astounding world record of
58.9secs – a time that remained the world's best for 14 years. Dawn Frazer was born on 4th of
September 1937. She grew up in the Sydney suburb of Balmain into a poor working–class family.
Dawn Frazer is a parent to both Rose Christina Frazer and Kenneth George A. Fraser. She was
noticed by sydney swimming coach Harry Gallagher. In 1956, she entered her first Olympic Games

It was just the beginning of a highly successful sporting career. She would not only hold the 100
meters freestyle record for 15 years from December 1956 to January 1972, but would also create
several new records over her career. At the 1958 Commonwealth Games in Cardiff, she won two
gold medals. Dawn Fraser was the favorite to win the 100 meters freestyle at the 1960 Olympics in
Rome having been the winner of the event in the previous games. She did not disappoint her fans
and clinched the gold once again, becoming the first woman to win a swimming event twice. During
this Olympics she also gained some criticism for her irresponsible and eccentric behavior. The
Australian team manager asked her to swim the butterfly leg of the medley relay in the games which
she refused. This gained her the wrath of her Australian teammates and officials. Continuing her
streak of amazing performances, she went on to win four gold medals at the 1962 Commonwealth
Games in Perth. She once again won the gold medal in the 100 meters freestyle at the Tokyo
Olympics in 1964, becoming one of only three swimmers to have

1950's Fashion
" Fashions fade. Style is eternal" – Once said the famous designer Yves Saint Laurent. In the 1950's
marked the era in fashion that people think of as the turning point in fashion. Teenagers would be
looked at for their own fashion, and would have sexier outfits. Women would start to wear
accessories such as hats, glasses and diamonds (Fashion History). They would show more skin and
have tighter outfits. Men would start to wear suits and look more formal. The "cowboy" look would
start to play a big role during this time. Many men would wear different colors including pink.
Before the 1950's many teenagers would wear the same exact clothes as their parents did, in the 50's
we start to see fashion including teenagers as their own fashion. Teenage girls would wear more
colors, and tighter dresses to get a finer look. We also see that the teenagers start to go farther into
the accessories by wearing pearls, necklaces and waves many high class wives would too. Many of
the guy teenagers would wear sweaters or leather man jackets and the "rebel high schoolers" would
wear the black leather jacket. The 1950s, we see many new ... Show more content on

Porters Five Forces Of New Entrants
Porters Five Forces
Threat of New Entrants
There are barriers to entry of new firms to the fast fashion industry such as economies of scale,
product differentiation as new entrants could possibly sell a product for a low cost and resulting low
quality.
H&M are in a position where they are at a medium threat as them being one of the biggest brand
within the high street and fast fashion sector, they are in a secure position where new entrants
wouldn't be able to compete to H&M as quick, this is evident as H&M have a strong brand
presence.
Threat of Substitute
Within the fashion market, there are many products being sold where their performance are at a
much better quality and available to purchase for at an affordable price but then there ... Show more

Power of Suppliers
Power of the suppliers is relatively strong as they are able to sell high priced resources and materials
for instance: the price on cotton has been increasing and with organic cotton, the price would be
higher which puts the supplier at a strong powerful position or they can either sell low quality
resources and material in which retailers would purchase as costs would be very low. They even
have the power to drop out on contracts last minute if they feel like the price they are getting paid is
low, this can affect the quality of the work. Furthermore, it can raises the question of supplying and
production held in Britain. The production prices would increase but it would mean there are
chances of employment.
Suppliers are in great power over their employees, this is when ethics is involved as employee
working for the suppliers would be giving out very low wages, disrespect to employees, in which
can be covered up and ensure the brand doesn't find out. However with the power of the internet, the
world's knows and as the brand is associated with them, it ruins the brands image.
Rivalry
With many competitors from across different sectors of the market, each are different and deliver
their products differently to consumers. However this is potentially a high risk as different brands
can easily see what a brand has done to make them different and then follow

Why Homework Should Be Banned
This issue of after school punishment children are forced to do is getting out of hand. Many people
are swayed in their opinions if schools should be allowed to give out homework, or work you would
do out of the classroom. Schools should be banned from handing out homework for many reasons
where this is just three of them. A school district in Tennessee banned homework because some kids
do not have the resources at home to complete homework. Another reason is it will bring grades up
because being out of the classroom gives people many opportunities to cheat which causes grades to
drop because they aren't learning the material, whereas if the work was done in class these kids
wouldn't be able to cheat and it would make them learn it. Others may argue that it will give the kids
less practice which will bring their grades down where that is not necessarily true. Some children
that are less fortunate than others sometimes do not have the same opportunities that other children
do have which is cause for them not getting their homework completed. There are many children
that get free or reduced lunches because of their family's average annual income level or how many
children of the same in–home family go to that school or school district. A school district in
Tennessee banned homework because the administrators decided that, "Anywhere between 65%–
75% of each school's student body qualify for free or reduced lunch programs, so it was decided that
students should not be singled

Bouncing Back By Melissa Balmain Analysis
Resilience People have learned to be resilient in order to overcome serious hardships. A person's
resilience can be seen through how they handle bad experiences; to be resilient in the face of
adversity. People who never give up and always fight back even when it gets hard are resilient.
Some believe that resilience is a trait that can be learned. In the article "Bouncing Back" by Melissa
Balmain; she writes about different people's hardships and how they learned to be resilient because
of their tenacious experiences. Balmain recounts Jennifer Loredo, a master sergeant in the army who
was serving in Afghanistan with her husband when a roadside bomb left her without a husband and
raising two kids on her own. Moreover Balmain mentions how ... Show more content on

Many people throughout history have also faced adversity and have been resilient through it. For
example, Tyler Perry; he had a terrible childhood, he was physically and sexually abused as a child,
kicked out of high school, and tried to commit suicide twice in his lifetime. Still, through all his
hardships, he produced and starred in his first theater production, I Know I've Been Changed, which
failed. Therefore he obtained odd jobs to pay for the production; finally on the seventh run the show
broke through. Through all his hardships he never gave up and today has a successful career as a
writer, director, and actor. Oprah Winfrey also endured a rough childhood because of sexual abuse,
she had a child at fourteen who passed away two weeks after. She continued on to finish high school
with honors and get a scholarship for college. She worked her way up from TV anchor to a creator
of her own network. Scientist Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with ALS and through his colleague,
friends, and family's support he became a great scientist. Through his perseverance Hawking
managed many accomplishments such as his published book on the theories of the Big Bang. Nelson
Mandela was also a person with great resilience who dreamed of racial equality and spent 27 years
in prison for it. I have had to be resilient too as I've had panic attacks since I was in seventh grade
and continue to deal with them today. Through my family's

The Promenade will offer the prospect for cyclists or pedestrians to navigate along the Sydney
Harbour waterfront, from Balmain through to the Sydney CBD – a journey through Sydney
Harbour, with opportunities to dine by the foreshore and access the Harbour for water–based
activities, all from an amazing vantage point. The Promenade will provide an unbroken, shared
waterfront region from Balmain to Pyrmont that unlocks direct harbour frontage. While the Bays
Waterfront Promenade will be a vital link within The Bays Precinct and its vicinity, it will be more
than just a pathway that links people between places of value – it will be planned as a new tourist

Extreme Perpetrators By William Andrew Myers Analysis
William Andrew Myers, in his essay "Ethical Aliens: The Challenge of Extreme Perpetrators to
Humanism" originally published in Colette Balmain and Lois Drawmer's volume edition of
Something Wicked This Way Comes: Essays on Evil and Human Wickedness (2009), examines
"extreme perpetrators" and our need to recognize the human in them. Myers supports his idea of
"extreme perpetrators" by defining these people through a few expert opinions, categorizing the
three central culprits (murderous dictators, serial killers, and ideological killers), and reasons why
we distance ourselves from them but should take the time to understand their differences from
humane people. The purpose of Myers' essay is not necessarily to defend dangerous murders' actions
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The three emphasis in the theories of evil Myers refers to are the actual damage a person causes, the
motivation, intention, and will behind their actions, and finally the feelings they have about their
actions afterward. He uses these emphases to describe different levels or types of extreme
perpetrators based on their actions, impact, and mental state.
3. Myers only wants to examine the acts of extreme perpetrators rather than take into account their
motivations or emotions because we only consider their actions with a rare exception of blaming
those actions on "judgments of [a] depraved character." With ordinary perpetrators, we tend to
access their moral character through their actions, motives, and feelings but it differs with the
extreme offenders cause we do not sympathize with their actions, let alone them.
4. Myers believes serial killers have captured the public's attention and imagination for many
reasons. One of these undoubtedly is the fact that until serial killers are apprehended, they represent
a time before the current generation, unknown, mysterious, and full of terror. The predators are
secretive and sly, able to attack and strike fear into the hearts of a community, and this reason I why
Myers believes that "the Other in its most threatening form" is such a captivating

clothing. H&M originally known as Hennes, opened up their first women's clothing store in

introduced cosmetics to their customers. In 1974, H&M was listed on the Stockholm Stock

As two separate companies, they have established a different approach towards the market, however
with the right research and evaluation, Rousteing and The Bay have beautifully managed to make
both sides collide with success. They have managed to design ready–to–wear for different target
groups, for example, women's outerwear shoes, men's business attire, jewellery, as well as the latest
Balmain Army collection inspired by Rousteing himself. They have made the price range of the
products in the listed categories reasonable and affordable for premium quality clothing, accessories
and footwear for both genders that are quality and price conscious. Also, in Toronto and Vancouver,
The Bay has launched a showroom called "The Room" that features some of Balmain's hottest but

prices, these items are obviously in display for the more sophisticated young female adults that
completely disregard the price tag when they see something they genuinely adore. However, this
was also an intelligent way for Rousteing and The Bay to promote their collection by giving the
people of middle–class families to feel and take a closer glimpse of some high–quality handiwork.

Art Deco Movement In The 1920's
The art deco movement began in the mid 1920's. This style, originally described as a spin–off from
art noveau, is not said to be a mix of many different influences. These influences are from forms of
eastern and western art, and can be found in many different areas of art such as; architecture,
fashion, photography and many more (Duncan, 2009). Art deco revolves around geometric patterns,
full of color and an elegant style, all part of an approach toward modernism in art. Examples of art

defined as intentional and unauthorised restraint or deprivation of a person's liberty. SID was
intentionally wrongful used its authority to cause confinement on Ricardo's liberty. Although there
has been no application of physical force, there was evidence of complete submission by Ricardo to
the control of SID, which eventually satisfied the test drawn from the High Court's decision in
Balmain New Ferry Co Ltd v Robertson. Through the presence of officers, it was apparent that if
Ricardo refused to follow, he would be restrained by force. So the requirement of total restraint was
abundantly satisfied. SID took the action without any requisite warrants or reasonable evidence; a
tip–off was not enough to satisfy, so an imprisonment was unlawful since the beginning as they

therefore 20 minute of detention or even less than that would still constitute an action for false

Cause And Effect Of Fashion
The Effects of Fashion
In today's society, fashion rules the teen and young adult generations. Billions of dollars are spent
each year on designer brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Off–White. At the same time that
these large amounts of money are being spent of materialistic aspects of fashion, people in third
world countries are struggling greatly. Instead of money being spent on expensive clothing, it could
serve a greater purpose by being donated to countries who are in dire need. Absurd amounts of
money in first world countries are spent on designer brands, while third world countries struggle to
even get their hands on any clothing.
Celebrities are a perfect example of people who can comfortably spends thousands on fashion. It can
be seen all over T.V. or social media: celebrities at events such as award shows in multi–thousand
dollar outfits. Some people believe it is all for image, but some may disagree and say that they spend
it because they have the money to. Money spent on expensive designer brands is very commonly
depicted in music by famous rappers. Rapper Lil Uzi Vert says in his song: "Early 20 Rager",
"Four–hundred dollars for a brand–new Gucci beanie" ("Lil Uzi Vert 25"). This lyric signifies a
form of materialism through an influential artist asserting that he spends large amounts of money on
designer brands, in this case, Gucci. Another rap artist, Jeremih, featured in G Herbo's: "This N'
That" says "I mix my Balmain with Goyard" ("G Herbo 22"). Yet

Sexual Violence Against Black Women
According to the 2017 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence survey published by the CDC
(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), approximately 35.5% of Black women experience
some type of sexual violence in their lifetime (CDC, 2017). To understand the underlying causes of
this phenomenon, both the sexuality and general experience of Black women need to be understood
in context. It is also important to maintain an intersectional lens, as both identities of "Black" and
"woman" are important in understanding the black female experience and the violence that
accompanies it (Crenshaw, Delgado, Matsuda, Lawrence, 2018). I will posit that the high occurrence
of sexual violence against Black women stems in part from the fact that the ... Show more content

Two prominent examples of popular artists in this position are Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. They are
important because their immense popularity has a significant impact on how Black female sexuality
is viewed by mainstream audiences. To begin, Nicki Minaj is a popular rapper who emerged on the
scene in 2004 and with 86.2 million followers, she is the most followed rapper on Instagram (as of
April 2018). In a genre that consistently objectifies Black female bodies, Minaj attempts to assert
agency in her own sexual representation, an example of which is on the left in figure 1 below. Cardi
B is a more recent rapper, who broke out in 2017 with her hit single Bodak Yellow. The song broke
records as it stayed on the Hot 100 list for three consecutive weeks, making her the only female

sexuality, making a poignant statement by wearing an "A" (á la Hester Prynne of the Scarlet Letter),

In the first article Floods see Rat Population Explosion, this article explains why the rats (rodents)
go into people's houses and garages. The reason why the rodents go into people's houses and garages
are because of the cold weather, rainy downfall, and because of floods. The rodents go up to the
houses in order to get warm and dry areas in the house where they may have their young at. The
sewers were also flooded so the rats had nowhere to go so they go into people's houses and garages.

Characterism In Looking For Alibrandi By Melina Marchetta
he novel, Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta, focuses on a 17 year old teenager who has an
Italian background called Josephine Alibrandi. Josephine is really two different people at the
beginning and the end of the book. In the beginning, Josephine is overdramatic, poised to react to
her Italian background and her illegitimacy. At the end of the book, Josephine began to achieve
emancipation. She has learnt that she has blown her problems out of proportion, that not everyone is
about to execute her for being Italian and illegitimate. Josephine's interaction with the other
characters has brought this about. She faced quite a number of challenges in her final year. They
include the arrival of Michael Andretti and her change of perspective and attitude towards Nonna
Katia. In the beginning of the novel, Josephine's attitude towards Nonna was very atrocious. Despite
the fact that she disliked Nonna, she still has to come to her house every afternoon after school. One
of the reasons that she disliked coming to Nonna's house was that she despised the idea of being

Kim went on the Atkins diet after she gave birth to her first child, North West and that seemed to work well for her. In the 1950's marked the era in fashion that people think of as the turning point in fashion. Teenagers would be looked at for their own fashion, and would have sexier outfits. Women would start to wear accessories such as hats, glasses and diamonds (Fashion History). They would show more skin and have tighter outfits. Men would start to wear suits and look more formal. The "cowboy" look would start to play a big role during this time. Many men would wear different colors including pink. Before the 1950's many teenagers would wear the same exact clothes as their parents did, in the 50's we start to see fashion including teenagers as their own fashion. Teenage girls would wear more colors, and tighter dresses to get a finer look. We also see that the teenagers start to go farther into the accessories by wearing pearls, necklaces and waves many high class wives would too. Porters Five Forces Of New Entrants Porters Five Forces Threat of New Entrants There are barriers to entry of new firms to the fast fashion industry such as economies of scale, product differentiation as new entrants could possibly sell a product for a low cost and resulting low quality. H&M are in a position where they are at a medium threat as them being one of the biggest brand within the high street and fast fashion sector, they are in a secure position where new entrants wouldn't be able to compete to H&M as quick, this is evident as H&M have a strong brand presence. Threat of Substitute Within the fashion market, there are many products being sold where their performance are at a much better quality and available to purchase for at an affordable price but then there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Power of Suppliers Power of the suppliers is relatively strong as they are able to sell high priced resources and materials for instance: the price on cotton has been increasing and with organic cotton, the price would be higher which puts the supplier at a strong powerful position or they can either sell low quality resources and material in which retailers would purchase as costs would be very low. They even have the power to drop out on contracts last minute if they feel like the price they are getting paid is low, this can affect the quality of the work. Furthermore, it can raises the question of supplying and production held in Britain. The production prices would increase but it would mean there are chances of employment. Suppliers are in great power over their employees, this is when ethics is involved as employee working for the suppliers would be giving out very low wages, disrespect to employees, in which can be covered up and ensure the brand doesn't find out. However with the power of the internet, the world's knows and as the brand is associated with them, it ruins the brands image. • 15. Why Homework Should Be Banned This issue of after school punishment children are forced to do is getting out of hand. Many people are swayed in their opinions if schools should be allowed to give out homework, or work you would do out of the classroom. Schools should be banned from handing out homework for many reasons where this is just three of them. A school district in Tennessee banned homework because some kids do not have the resources at home to complete homework. Another reason is it will bring grades up because being out of the classroom gives people many opportunities to cheat which causes grades to drop because they aren't learning the material, whereas if the work was done in class these kids wouldn't be able to cheat and it would make them learn it. Others may argue that it will give the kids less practice which will bring their grades down where that is not necessarily true. Some children that are less fortunate than others sometimes do not have the same opportunities that other children do have which is cause for them not getting their homework completed. There are many children that get free or reduced lunches because of their family's average annual income level or how many children of the same in–home family go to that school or school district. A school district in Tennessee banned homework because the administrators decided that, "Anywhere between 65%– 75% of each school's student body qualify for free or reduced lunch programs, so it was decided that students should not be singled ... In the article "Bouncing Back" by Melissa Balmain; she writes about different people's hardships and how they learned to be resilient because of their tenacious experiences. Still, through all his hardships, he produced and starred in his first theater production, I Know I've Been Changed, which failed. Therefore he obtained odd jobs to pay for the production; finally on the seventh run the show broke through. Through all his hardships he never gave up and today has a successful career as a writer, director, and actor. Oprah Winfrey also endured a rough childhood because of sexual abuse, she had a child at fourteen who passed away two weeks after. • 27. Extreme Perpetrators By William Andrew Myers Analysis William Andrew Myers, in his essay "Ethical Aliens: The Challenge of Extreme Perpetrators to Humanism" originally published in Colette Balmain and Lois Drawmer's volume edition of Something Wicked This Way Comes: Essays on Evil and Human Wickedness (2009), examines "extreme perpetrators" and our need to recognize the human in them. Myers supports his idea of "extreme perpetrators" by defining these people through a few expert opinions, categorizing the three central culprits (murderous dictators, serial killers, and ideological killers), and reasons why we distance ourselves from them but should take the time to understand their differences from humane people. The purpose of Myers' essay is not necessarily to defend dangerous murders' actions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The three emphasis in the theories of evil Myers refers to are the actual damage a person causes, the motivation, intention, and will behind their actions, and finally the feelings they have about their actions afterward. He uses these emphases to describe different levels or types of extreme perpetrators based on their actions, impact, and mental state. 3. Myers only wants to examine the acts of extreme perpetrators rather than take into account their motivations or emotions because we only consider their actions with a rare exception of blaming those actions on "judgments of [a] depraved character." With ordinary perpetrators, we tend to access their moral character through their actions, motives, and feelings but it differs with the extreme offenders cause we do not sympathize with their actions, let alone them. 4. Myers believes serial killers have captured the public's attention and imagination for many reasons. One of these undoubtedly is the fact that until serial killers are apprehended, they represent a time before the current generation, unknown, mysterious, and full of terror. The predators are secretive and sly, able to attack and strike fear into the hearts of a community, and this reason I why Myers believes that "the Other in its most threatening form" is such a captivating ... With the stratospheric prices, these items are obviously in display for the more sophisticated young female adults that completely disregard the price tag when they see something they genuinely adore.
